    Don't know how the law is in the US but in the netherlands consumers have the right to make one backup copy.

    so, since they're making DVD's/software copy-protected, aren't the DVD/software producers breaking the law ?

    Then why am I looking at a 1600x1200 display powered by an asus v7100 GeForce 2 MX ?
    Why does quake run @ 96fps on my duron 700

    I guess it's because the driver doesn't support MX cards.

    MX cards are supported starting from driver version 0.9-5

    I love konqueror, it way faster then Mozilla, NS4 and NS6 you don't have to install all of KDE to run it, just a new QT , kdelibs and kbase2.

    True, but compare features of the image processing application that ran on de P75 with the application running on the 1Ghz. The CPU power is used somewhere.

    Did you use the latest nightlies ?
    I'm posting this from todays nightly (Build ID: 2000100321) and it's lightning fast compared to NS4.73 (running on Linux, Cel333, 192MB)
    I also tried it on Windos at school and it performed way better than IE (dunno what version).
    Now I just have to get root to install it on the solaris machines ..

    I submitted a bug twice and have no bad experiences with bugreporting.

    Moz is definately my choice.

    btw, I just love the new Modern skin.

    Actually, I like the tiny arrow keys.
    Them being so small and close together I can operate them with my right little finger. without moving my right hand while typing. I din't notice it at first but I was using it a lot without ever thinking about it.
    pretty ingenious.

    you have to plug it in the wall. it's a 100watt power supply, apperently the card uses so much power it would be too much for the standard ATX supply to handle. furthermore with their own (High-Quality?) external powersupply they can guarantee a good clean power 'signal'

    Wow, image one single speaker that projects an complete dolby or THX surround system.
    hell, you could even reconfigure it to do stereo, dolby, thx or whatever depending on the music/ movie you're listening/watching.

    Let them do a webserver project.
    - Install linux
    - Install Apache/php/mysql
    - Learn PHP/SQL
    - Let them think of a cool concept for a database driven website
    - Let them build the site and host it on their machine.

    use galeon, its a GTK interface with the Mozilla engine.

    the only problem I have with mozilla is the scrolling, it's painfully slow.

    I wonder if it is possible to create a stable OS while remaining 100% compatible with windows.
    Aren't there applications that actually depend on e.g. Dangerous Memory Management or other 'features' that cause instability ?

    In other words: isn't win32 design so flawed you can't actually make a stable OS based on that design.
