True, but compare features of the image processing application that ran on de P75 with the application running on the 1Ghz. The CPU power is used somewhere. ---
Did you use the latest nightlies ?
I'm posting this from todays nightly (Build ID: 2000100321) and it's lightning fast compared to NS4.73 (running on Linux, Cel333, 192MB)
I also tried it on Windos at school and it performed way better than IE (dunno what version).
Now I just have to get root to install it on the solaris machines..
I submitted a bug twice and have no bad experiences with bugreporting.
Actually, I like the tiny arrow keys.
Them being so small and close together I can operate them with my right little finger. without moving my right hand while typing. I din't notice it at first but I was using it a lot without ever thinking about it.
pretty ingenious. ---
you have to plug it in the wall. it's a 100watt power supply, apperently the card uses so much power it would be too much for the standard ATX supply to handle. furthermore with their own (High-Quality?) external powersupply they can guarantee a good clean power 'signal' ---
Wow, image one single speaker that projects an complete dolby or THX surround system.
hell, you could even reconfigure it to do stereo, dolby, thx or whatever depending on the music/ movie you're listening/watching. ---
What are the IP('s) of the machine('s) used for tracking so I can block them in my firewall ?
Is there a website with lists of servers/IP's hosting webbugs ? ---
Let them do a webserver project. - Install linux - Install Apache/php/mysql - Learn PHP/SQL - Let them think of a cool concept for a database driven website - Let them build the site and host it on their machine. ---
I wonder if it is possible to create a stable OS while remaining 100% compatible with windows. Aren't there applications that actually depend on e.g. Dangerous Memory Management or other 'features' that cause instability ?
In other words: isn't win32 design so flawed you can't actually make a stable OS based on that design. ---
Don't know how the law is in the US but in the netherlands consumers have the right to make one backup copy.
so, since they're making DVD's/software copy-protected, aren't the DVD/software producers breaking the law ?
---
Then why am I looking at a 1600x1200 display powered by an asus v7100 GeForce 2 MX ?
Why does quake run @ 96fps on my duron 700
I guess it's because the driver doesn't support MX cards.
MX cards are supported starting from driver version 0.9-5

Or does gopher seem ideal to use on a WAP phone ? (ie. mostly text and links)

I love konqueror, it way faster then Mozilla, NS4 and NS6 you don't have to install all of KDE to run it, just a new QT , kdelibs and kbase2.

I'd love an nice 2D adventure game, like monkey island 3.
It must be possible to write an open-source 2D adventure game engine that can be re-used for multiple adventure games.

Check xteddy, ok, it doesn't 'talk' etc. but maybe someone could use it as a base and develop a GPL'ed paperclip app ;)

Yeps, this proves that nerds can party too. :)
---
What are they DOING over there??
Check the milestones page , I quote: "M16 - Feature complete check point - the annual cinco de mayo checkpoint and party"
looks like they are partying and can't code for at least a week because of a massive hangover.

use galeon, its a GTK interface with the Mozilla engine.
the only problem I have with mozilla is the scrolling, it's painfully slow.
