  1. Re:How I Block Popups, and What Still Annoys Me on End Run Around Pop-up Blockers · · Score: 1

Easy enough to do. Get Proxomitron (www.proxomitron.info) and JD5000 filters for Proxomitron (www.jd5000.net) and kiss those ads and popups goodbye.

Those floating ad's for the most part are flash ad's anyway, so the JD5000 filters for disabling and or toggling on/off flash content help's a lot.

Seems funny how you got broadband in a rural area like that yet no dialup? But, you do make a good point that for some people, especially if they live out in the sticks and like country living, dialup is the only option many people may have, even if it's only a small ma and pop ISP in a small hicktown or whatnot.

This is good news actually because it will give more business to the little and medium sized ISP's in Northern America for dialup access. It might even be good for cable companies to, because as an example here in Saskatchewan, both Sasktel and Access Cable offer dialup internet access along with their broadband offerings.

And, when I lived in British Columbia for several years there was LOTS of small to medium ISP's who had good service and tech support for dialup, and had offices you could actually drive to!

Nokia N-Gage is a joke, no serious gamer buys this unless they like wasting money. Intel's standard portable platform isn't going to mean much of anything to a gamer at any rate.

No, Nintendo will still dominate the handheld market, especially once the NEXT generation of their handheld comes out with equal to or slightly better N64 quality graphics and gameplay.

Considering that DVD players are now almost as common place as VCR's, there IS NO POINT To putting it into a game console other then to hike the price up and make the system more complicated.

And to be honest I am definetly not tired of Mario and Zelda. Especially Zelda series since I had some of the damn best gameplay experiences on Link To the Past, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and Wind Waker.

Honestly I don't think morons realize there are a lot of mature and teen games that you WOULDNT want kids playing, not unless you like giving your kids nightmares from horror games or nudity/porn games. Morons would not be happy until Mario was a pimp and pimping Peach out to Bowser, then they'd still complain..Idiots.

  25. Another "Psyhic" on Nintendo - Stodgy, Not-So-Super Mario? · · Score: 1

The sony handheld will be out if I recall correctly in 2005 in Japan, probably 2006 or even 2007 in USA, by that time Nintendo will have the next generation handheld out again, likely supporting N64 power to play 64 bit games and who knows maybe even STILL be backwards compatible with GBA/GBC/GB games.

Plus, as was mentioned here in another comment, Sony just loves to overhype their products, the PSX especially comes to mind, so does the PS2.

And Nintendo will NOT go the way of Sega. The problem with Sega was their were nowhere near as big as Nintendo, didn't have nearly as much money, and they tried to get the Dreamcast going good in the market, and it was a nice machine too, but ultimately it failed.

SO Nintendo will NOT be going down. Listen to the facts for once and not to moronic reporters who think they are psyhic and can predict Nintendo horror stories.
