    Teasing aside, Carlson had come down in the pro-Kerry camp before the election, for what it's worth. Then again, so did a lot of socially liberal fiscal conservatives. YMMV.

    Darn, with my projector I don't get to watch TV all the time. Not that I miss it much. I like keeping a room dark / watching at night. Turning a TV on and your mind off is not good for your mind.

    Linux doesn't challenge Windows:

    2. Linux doesn't challenge Windows, but rather replaces it.

    I also find it funny that the other 'little os' OS, Mac OS X, is ahead of the Windows curve.

    Not that the PSP is better than the gDS or anything.

    Some heart, eh? I still haven't visited many areas around the triangle. I've lived here a year, too. There's plenty to do in NoRal so I rarely leave my little comfort circle. I should go to the TMUG meetings in Durham though.

    I was there on Thursday and it was mostly Bush/Cheney. I think several factors contributed to this:

    • People work jobs on Thursdays and not on Saturdays
    • Raleigh and Durham are the liberal hubs of NC
    • Kids can't vote, and most of the stickers I saw were next to Kerry/Edwards stickers, stickers for the 4H, etc. Kids like stickers.

    How about the language issue where Indians won't say "no", and will work insane hours working on unsolvable problems just because they'll "lose face" by saying they can't do something. This is a real problem when you give your remote crew work to do, and they say "yes", then deliver no results. The fix? Ask questions that require an explanation of how they are going to solve your problem. This wil prove if it's possible or not.

    ...are Powerex 2300mAh NiMH batteries. Four batteries + charger cost $50 total. My charger is a "slow/cold" charger that bounces polarity to reduce crystallisation. I haven't charged my batteries in over two weeks, and I'm at around 150 shots, about 30-40 with flash with no problems. The camera is a Canon PowerShot A70.

    My mom's Kodak is a devourer of batteries. I don't know why anyone would put out a camera that can only take 30 shots before running out of juice. I take up to 150 is a typical outing.
