It runs on a unix type microkernel, get it right. And am I to assume that if I run linux on my mac I will have the same advantage as a x86 linux user? No I don't think so, games won't run and the wireless card I doubt will run either.
Try this, smear honey thinly on your TV screen, even just one wipe of honey with a paint brush or something will do, let it harden and then watch your favourite TV programs or movies. See how long you'll put up with it before you wash it off or get the dog to lick it off and thats how annoying it was. Or bring your mates around to watch a really cool deleted scene from one of your favourite movies on DVD and have them comment casually on the smear on the TV. Its not even theirs yet they will say something about it.
It bothered me when I had photos to show people on the nano, its one thing that the screen is smaller than the mini, but to have a slight gash which distorts the pixels underneath is very annoying and something I wouldn't stand for. If only because its supposed to be an improvement over the old ipod mini, (assuming in every way hence it being better) mine which like I said was immaculate.
You are right about seeing song titles on the screen, I didn't care about them, but having my photos distorted really annoyed me. I dread to think what will happen when the wide screen ipod gets released excluding decent protection.
Apple's support for my ipod was redeemed right at the last moment. It had been a slog from the get go. I had a nano without any protection. I had kept it in my shirt pocket all the time but it still got scuffed.
I rang apple support and I must of caught the first guy on a bad day. I asked him if Apple had a policy yet on the nano's, his reply was "all ipods get scratched". Personally I think i got him on a bad day and he'd been asked this before. I told him about my ipod mini which was still in mint condition but that didn't matter, he told me I should get the Apple ipod skin covers.
The second person told me the same thing as I didn't accept his answer and rang back on another day, I was still unimpressed and told her I want to get a refund my the device. It was still in its 14 day money back grace period. That was how bad the thing picked up screen damage, to think I rang the first guy days before this person. This person also told me to get the Apple iPod skin covers.
When I got through to the third person, all she could offer me was £20 as a token of goodwill or have the ipod returned to apple and get a refund, I asked if I could just get a replacement but she said no, not possible. Duh! What am I going to do with the refund then? She also told me to get the skin covers from apple. I decided to think it was just the typical spiel that had been handed down because I had ordered them anyway before speaking to the first guy and guess what? When the covers came, they didn't protect the screen! The lunacy of it all.
Anyway, I got a new ipod and kept the plastic film on it and buried it under a skin cover. Its sad I have to do this to such a nice machine and its sad Apple support sucked in this case. I suppose its still sad that I bought a second one as well after all the shit I got off the first one.
Linux hasn't been ready for years, I've kept trying it since 1998. The last time was in 2003. Maybe shit has happened since then but thats really only been 2 years ago in my book. Maybe its time to try again but if I do, i'd have to but a pc first. I wouldn't try it on a mac.
But before Apple had a browser, they would happily ship IE 5 for the mac as the default browser, is that not 3rd party? Then there is that zip program that you need to register and purchase, can't remember the name. Those 2 are just off the top of my head.
Kronnenberg the alcoholic beverage has 59 years to go until its 400th birthday, thats just one of the top of my head (milestone that is). There is another one from the 13th century but I don't remember the name.
I don't own any consoles, all I have is a mac and we all know its short of games compared to windows, it'll never have its depth of titles. However, for some time now I've been hankering over a portable console, two of my friends has the PSP, yeah it looks nice and all but I think I am going to go with the DS simply because its cheaper and I don't plan to buy a lot of games, the cost of entry is much lower and i'm a 25 year old student.
That guy who did the voice is an english actor known as David Warner, he played President Gorkon in Star Trek 6. I agree as well on his acting capabilities. his Imdb profile is here.
I had mixed feelings about the mini series but settled down wholeheartedly after the first episode was shown. When near the end they destroyed the olympic carrier and you had the characters reaction to it all. Was it full of cylons or not, there was this big and drastic moral dilemma to it, they had to do something immediately. The characters were more than one dimensional and I've been a fan through and through ever since.
If B5 was in book form and wasn't subject to the will of the network like season 5 was in the end, I'm sure it would have been brilliant, this is coming from someone who really hated B5 right from the start, but as usual my dad gets me hooked unknowingly on these shows and I end up watching and enjoying them. B5 was unique and moved sci fi forward with the long story arcs.
It can't be a continuation. If this happened before then wouldn't the cylons be like the original cylons? But we are not even talking ideology here either. In the original series, the cylons were actually lizards who forced themselves to become robots or the cylons that are seen during the course of the original series. They are not lizards in this show nor did the humans create the cylons in the original show like they have done here.
Sorry, I didn't catch on straight away, that we were talking about SF in other forms of media, (I thought you was comparing shows and shows only) when you do get off your high horse or pull whatever stick is in your arse, out, maybe we could further this line of thought.
Well to each his own but I think BSG serves a purpose more than to simply entertain but to enlighten, its taking it to the next step after Star Trek with its philosophical messages and ideas for betterment.
Good call but for drama's sake, I still think BSG is to go. What ruins B5 for me was fudging season 5 into season 4. Then when season 5 was given the green light, it was well boring.
Which SF shows have bettered BSG? Don't quote movies either.
Ron Moore put a lot of thought into this show.

It shows through out the entire series, yes he pissed some of the hard core fans off but in the end, this is a quality show and thats all the matters, it doesn't try to destroy the old show, its taken the best parts and moved it on with the times. It still features the old vipers and old cylons as well which i thought was a nice touch, just without the lasers. Ron Moore i salute you!
You state the iTunes interface is confusing yet you don't give any examples. I'm interested in knowing how it can be confusing.

Class post, you are a star sir!

I've never heard of Spaten. But its not that one.

you forgot to mention that he does it without really trying either.

Or just totally pointless in the context of a movie, people would ask, who and what the fuck is the point of this guy.
Bollocks, I've seen railguns in action on Atlantis!
I downloaded mandrake 7 once on 56k. Took me a week but I did it!

Yeah but what about the last season? It sucked!
I don't know what it is but it looks like all the network admins are in tonight!
