Of course it will ship (sometime), they will sell a million units just from the people who loved the first Duke Nukem.
I reckon it will make it out before next Xmas.
And I agree with a lot of posters here, despite the fact the first one didn't have the greatest engine at the time, it had the most character and I still think it is the most fun I have ever had playing an FPS - and I have played everyone before and since.
Shrink ray, jetpack, trip wires... Multiplay was an absolute hoot, not to this day recaptured in any other FPS.
Based on intelligence gathered from transmissions originating from planet Earth I cannot see how any alien species couldn't come to the conclusion that a preemptive strike is the best solution to the human problem.
Percolation Theory is one of many theories that make sound arguments against Fermi's paradox. (Which basically amounts to I haven't seen anything so obviously there is nothing out there lol)
The guy made some lucky/good decisions at the right time. It could have been anyone with half a clue about computers, but it was him.
Credit is due for his business skills he used to run with the break he got and make it the enormous success it is.
Of course, opportunity and a slice of luck crosses most peoples path now and then, he was smart enough to recognise it and had enough business savvy to not blow it.
Bottomline... Genius, prophet, guru programmer... NAH! Lucky Bastard! Yep;-)

Having a single machine that can run all the apps I need would be immensely useful to me.
Well get a PC then, I use both and have never failed to find an app I need for the PC, where as I often cannot get what I need for the mac.
As for the mac being more reliable, hah FUD my PC runs very smoothly thank you, I cannot recall the last crash I had.
But then I am an MCSE and do not load my PC with anything more than the Apps I really need to run, all this PCs constantly crash talk is utter nonesense, my pc crashes about the same amount as my mac does.
Bottomline IMHO, if you are not computer savvy get a mac, they are computers for non-technical people.
If they ban these books will the nice law abiding terrorists all hand their copy's in? *cough* Just like John Howards gun buyback in Australia all the bad guys were lined up around the block to give their guns back to the police. lol
She was not arrested for having the files on her computer, there was other evidence linking her to the illegal activities. The files were just another nail in her coffin!
I agree with most of this post. Australia is a good place to live mainly because they are deadly serious about how they spend their freetime.
Put a shrimp on the BBQ, crack a stubby and relax with friends.
Ahhh yes the only problem is they are the most unsporting nation I have ever come across (and I have lived in Europe, Asia and America). Their national identity is founded on sporting success and thus they are soo focused on winning at all costs it has made them real bad sports.
I'll say up front I don't know the Ipod but I have to date not got one because (as I understand it - please enlighten me if I have this all wrong)
- battery issues (can't I change the battery myself?)
- Have to use Itunes?!
- Why does it do that stupid conversion each time you try and put a file onto it (see next question)
- Why can't I just drag mp3 files onto it in my computer
- And I don't think it looks so cool either (I don't see what the fuss is all about)
Please enlighten me, why should I get a music player with battery issues that locks me into using Itunes, does a funky conversion to a special format each time you try to put a file onto it, doesn't let you copy files off onto other machines and won't let you just drag mp3's onto it?
Why would anyone get this player other than the "ohhh look at me I have an Ipod, I'm soo cool" crowd?
I have to agree, I had both and although the PS1 had a shit load more games, I always found myself playing the N64 games. Quality over quantity I suppose.
Will they hold an account of what you have bought online?
This will mean if you sell the game the new owner will have to pay again for the stuff you have already paid for and downloaded.
You will hopefully one day realise that only a shallow false happiness is achieved through having wealth alone, sure money gives you options but true happiness is not about having money.
So a DVD manufacturer make a DVD player where I can for example press:
STOP 74298 STOP
and make my DVD player multi region, and by doing so I break the law.
Why hasn't the manufacturer broke the law by having that routine in its player in the first place?
uhhh!!!
This public order law is the one The Prodigy sing about in the track "Their Law" on the "Music for the Jilted Generation" album.
... Fuck 'em and their law.
I have to agree with their sentiment in the chorus:
It should be renamed to DNW (Duke Nukem Whenever)
Of course it will ship (sometime), they will sell a million units just from the people who loved the first Duke Nukem.

The world can do without the repeated tripe he churns out.
Would of thought they needed the sheep population controlled more than the rabbits...

Wow you mean the extra 20 years of repeating the same birthday dates helped them remember them, duh no surprises there really.

Sure I wont regret it, until I want to play a descent FPS like HL2.
I have wondered for a while why the US money was so similar, most other nations have different colour and size notes.
Check out the Aussie money for example, it is excellent, the US money by comparison is very backwards.

Well I guess now is a good time to tell my bank I think my creditcard number is compromised and ask for a new number.
*tasers suspect to disrupt motor functions*
Then yells "stand up or we will disrupt your motor functions again. ??? yes real bright cops

I could understand going to a midnight opening to get a new console, hell even a new game but camping out for a week?!!!
These people should just be put out of their misery.
How sad.
Perhaps one of these people could post and explain why they would do this????

It might not be as powerful as the other two offerings but it sure looks better, very sleek and clean.
