I let my children play most video games with little regard for ratings on them. But then I have reasonable parenting skills (read I bother to spend time with my children and teach them amonst other things what is acceptable behaviour in our society). Games are not to blame for these grafitting kids, their parents are to blame!
For all those saying stay away from pron & warez sites and have a firewall and you won't get spyware, I say hahahahaaaahha hahahahahaha haaahahahaa.
That is absolute nonesense and you probably all know it, you'll still get some unless you only visit the same sites you know to be safe.
Once you step of the beaten path looking for some different site Whammo! you'll catch something.
If you cannot see America has its own agenda here and it is not liberating Iraqis then you can consider yourself truly ignorant. True thinking for yourself, don't let Fox News do it for you.

- a huge waste of money
- it's hard not to expect at least a game worthy of $60.
*shakes head*
What exactly were you expecting for your $60??? I was expecting a computer game.
And funnily enough I got one, one that is a lot of fun to play.

It's clockwise, "the correct, American way" ???
*scratches head* Why is clockwise the American way? are you just saying that is the way CD's in America spin or does America have a ruling on which way things should spin *grin*
My understanding is the Gamecube uses a 3" disc which is a proprietary mini DVD format that holds 1.5GB.
It cannot be read by the CD or DVD player in your PC meaning you have to invest in some slightly more serious hardware to try and copy these discs, pushing it out of the reach of the average user.
A great approach by Nintendo to copy protection, I have heard rumour that the XBox 2 is gonna follow suit and have a proprietary disc format to help combat copying.

The problem with Halo was it was way too repetitive.
Run through all these endless identical looking tunnels, get to the control room, run back through all the same endless similar looking tunnels, shut down thingy one, run through more similar looking endless tunnels, shutdown thingy two, gee isn't this a long game, run through more endless similar looking tunnels, shut down thingy three. Ohh an outside bit! ahhh run through more tunnels, hey these look just like those other tunnels. Oh a puzzle... oh no hang on its just more of the same creatures to kill, and more tunnels like the other ones.
There wasn't much variety... Yawn

Yes sure Halo on XBox was better than Halo on PC, but it was engineered that way.
Lets take Halo 2 (the best FPS on XBox) and compare it to the best FPS on the PC. Yes exactly the XBox game would lose in every single comparison - graphics, sound, multiplayer options, controller options, etc... because it is an unfair comparison.
Of course Gameplay is an individual thing, you either like the clunky XBox controller or you hate it.
Sure Halo 2 will be the best FPS on XBox, the windup is when the XBox fanboys say its the best game on any platform, because anyone who has played the latest PC FPS games know full well they have bought into the hype and are deluding themselves.
Uhhh Halo 1 wasn't revolutionary. It had all been done before. See this is where the XBox crowd lose credibility, they think it wasn't about before it happened on the XBox. lol
If Halo 2 is gonna run much faster that Halo 1 it must have seriously sad framerate. Video stutter anyone.
lol - The Xbox can't do much more than Halo 1, it's pushing the envelope, the vid card is too old now.

I have to agree with you, I thought Halo was very mediocre. I assume if all you had was an XBox then this was worth getting worked up over, but as I own all consoles (yes incl. XBox) and a PC I couldn't see what the fuss was about.
There are good games on all the consoles but the PC games are always way ahead of anything happening on the consoles.
I have just left HP's employ, but they do not use the term printer much any more, they are ink delivery devices.
It is vital that they get a big slice of the ink/toner market and they will do whatever is required to ensure they do, there very survival depends on it.
These companies want the demo disc to get as wide a distribution as possible, having it self destruct would seriously undermine that aim.
They want lots of people to play that demo disc, not stop them.
You can put reman toner carts in the HP printers in Aus, it will void your warranty if you forget to take it out and replace it with a HP brand toner before calling HP support out.
There are some sites out there that sell the chips for these cartridges and provide instructions on how to remove your chip and replace it with the new one.
A drag I know and something you shouldn't have to do, but if you have seen the price of some of the toner cartridges you can understand why people would bother doing it.
And the chips are only $7.50

The sad thing is recent elections seem to indicate that the wholly ignorant individuals are the majority.
Ahhh you missed the bit were they reveal Elvis is alive and living on Xen.

The PC will always be the premier gaming platform
The PC isn't going anywhere and it will always have higher specs than any console.
