Given the recent anonymous/lulzsec/anti-sec hacking/ddos campaigns, I think it's become pretty obvious that it doesn't take a lot of man-power or resources to cause chaos. If companies and governments can't defend against a small group of teenage hackers they certainly don't have any chance of stopping a government with an army of hackers.
The thing is though, costs of providing bandwidth and general technology is always getting cheaper, faster, better. However, those cost savings are not getting passed onto the customer like they should. Last I heard the cost for an ISP to deliver 1 gig of traffic was around 1 cent.
Just what private information did this person discover? he got information from a bunch of public profiles, how is that a threat to privacy? I don't really under the gravity of this at all, if you're stupid enough to put your home phone number, or address in the the eyes of the public it's your own damn fault...
Btw, why can't you do the same thing with yahoo? i mean, how many @yahoo addys start with hornychick####? or 2hot4u16 through 2hot4u82... maybe somebody can explain to me why this is worthy of my brain power?

You know folks, the scary thing i see about this is... what if the enemy had one of these microwave devices and were able to deploy it around a vital target. The second we tried to bomb the target, that very bomb or cruise missile would be disabled in no time flat, and the bomb would fly off course and blow up a children's hospital...
Of course this would also be a very cool way to stop an enemy's missile attack, it would probably make a far better missile defence system than those lasers they have mounted in 747's
I feel sorry for the computer that kicks his ass at chess, with his temper he's likely to smash it to pieces with a hammer... Didn't he get pissed off and gave up against deep blue2?

Hell, I love xp pro, 2k, and I also happen to like mandrake 9. But if Linux were so great, why would most of us have more than one OS on our system? There maybe many who don't but I'm sure there are many more who do...
What was Microsoft done that warrents so much hate? This is america after all, and the only thing Microsoft has done wrong is become successful in the areas they are in. Face it folks, we would not be where we are today if not for Microsoft... I don't care how user friendly you think a *nix install is, the home user would never be able to do it! It's only the geeks and the techs that have the skills to install complex pieces of software.
So, first of all I say we should all shut our mouths, I would say that at least 70% of the people viewing this site are on a windows OS. It's a simple fact folks, we owe a lot to Microsoft...
