Also note that in a capitalist society, one could simply not do business with AT&T. (Signing multi-year contracts with a company that makes major policy/service changes on a frequent basis is also a bad idea, BTW.)

You can reset your specific "make" command in vim, and you can also tweak the error format. This page shows an example of that:

There's always w3m with the img patch. (Available together as "w3m-img" in fine distributions everywhere -- even BSD.) It requires either FBdev or X to run, however. (A simple dumb terminal won't display images.)

It is quite shocking to see an Xterm displaying an ostensibly text-based web browser, with images. It also has table and frame support, and a minimal amount of formatting support as well. (No JavaScript, and no CSS -- but there are people working on that.)

A quick Google search should turn up the necessary links, but many of them are in Japanese. Hope that helps!

I know it's a joke... note the smiley. My school used Apple computers, while I had a C=64c at home. The //c and //e were good computers, but I had much more time to explore the capabilities of the '64. When we got the IIgs computer, I remember being very impressed. (Look! Eighty columns!)

I had a copy of GEOS for the C64, and I used it to do my typed papers for school. It took about two and a half minutes to boot.
