great writers can. so what you're saying is that authors of graphic novels can be crap and still get their point across. woohoo....

I think you're twisting the words of your parent post here. Graphic novels are capable of things that literature is not and vice versa, regardless of the writer's ability. For example if you want to describe a scene of carnage and chaos with huge amounts of things happening, books can try and describe it but imho it will never match the impact of a 2-page-spread scene in a comic. Likewise comics can capture expressions and meaningful moments of silence better than books (as can films). But books can be more descriptive, can use language better, can switch tact and time-frame a lot better and probably loads more things I can't think of right now. Every medium has its strengths and its weaknesses, good authors/creators know how best to exploit them.

Testicular cancer of course is made that bit more likely by cycling a lot (it doesn't help them after all). Look on the top left of the calculator in scientific mode. There is an "inv" tickbox and a "hyp" one. To get arc-trig, tick the inv box, then click sin. Likewise, sinh can be performed by ticking hyp then pressing sin. Not the most obvious solution but not too bad either imho.

Games can be not about politics directly, but rather reference them. For example SimCity was fun, and had strong elements of politics (setting taxes, keeping the population happy, dealing with the environment etc). I read an article about the Sims once saying that it was inherently a bit right-wing/capitalist, since the aim was to become richer and buy more stuff (rather than the Sims just being happy with what they have). Sure political-themed games tend to be more strategical, but such is the nature of political issues I guess! They can't be solved by shooting at each other ;)
