    Now we're getting down to it. You didnt say "mutual fund vs. S&P", you said "stock picks vs. mutual funds". There is a BIG difference. S&P is large cap and diversified. Random stock picks are exactly that: completely random. When you throw half truths out there you are essentially spreading lies.

    It makes sense to get info from a seller of Index funds about how bad other funds compare.

    Do you have anything to back up that claim, or do you actually have a chimp throw darts at the roughly 9000 companies on the NYSE and NASDAQ alone? What about OTC? That would be a big dart board.

    I can only think this is a fairly uniquely American idea of what makes a good game.
    Yeah, because Pokemon, YuGiOh, Hanafuda, Shichi Narabe, and the 978 others with asian sounding names were started here in the US.

    How often is this the case nowadays? If you've had 5 minutes of downtime in the last month, I'd be surprised. If you've had even 1 hour of downtime in the last 6 months you need to look into other options.

    So you are saying that virus creators aren't looking for low hanging fruit? Come on. They know currently that if an exploitable hole is found for any linux distro, the community will work around the clock to get a patch out ASAP. And users would apply it ASAP. Once a distro is in place in millions of machines around the world, that patch will take forever to be applied.

    That's a ridiculous thought. If I were to pinpoint ANY linux distro, it would the one that:

    A. Is brand new and relatively untested,
    B. Has a captive audience that has NO PRIOR COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE
    and
    C. Has millions of identical (hardware as well as software) copies wirelessly connected around the globe.

    This is the perfect target. Imagine trying to explain to 3rd world kids why they should install patches on their magic picture box.

    Apple is a household name now... Before it wasnt.

    Apple has been a household name since the 80s. Maybe their products havent been the biggest sellers, but the company has always had huge consumer name recognition.

    Unless criminal B is Entropia, how exactly do you see this as working? Lets take it to the real world 1. Buy a bunch of monkeys 2. trade monkeys with criminal B. 3. Sell new monkeys on open market 4. Spend all that crazy loot legally You still are tied to the original money, which is what a launderer does not want.

    Why cant they provide this feedback that you desperately need? How about a Beep, or visual feedback (cursor changes color). And as far as feedback goes, what about the mouse moving, isnt that feedback?

    As a paying Trillian subscriber, I am disappointed in both Yahoo and Trillian.

    Dissapointed? There is already a fix available. I am very happy with Trillian. But if you need a company that can put a fix out in under 4 hours, then by all means go find another one.
