I HATE people that have tolerance for views that differ from their own.

railgunner wasn't pushing any agenda, he was simply pasting a bible quote. Is it really THAT big of a problem for you to even VIEW religious text?

Not to mention, his post was actually on-topic and discussion-provoking, as opposed to your off-topic juvenile rant.

I don't believe that terrorism CAN be fought.

Every once in a while someone, somewhere is going to get the idea that the only way to make their point is to kill innocent people. This is a sad fact of human nature and we must accept it.

Rather than curtail civil liberties, and turn an orwellian eye towards all of society(I saw this morning on CNN that the pigs are now doing random bag checks on subway commuters) why don't we accept these terrorist attacks for what they really are: unavoidable tragedies.

People die. This is a fact of life, and I don't think all the laws in the world are going to prevent this from happening, what ever happened to moving on?

Now, I'm not suggesting they we ignore terrorism completely, but there are limits to what we reasonably be expected to control. I mean, does government honestly expect to be able to control the thoughts and actions of an entire civilization?

    Not possible.

Just plug a splitter into the line that the modem is connected to and enjoy free TV :)

Funny, I've had two motherboards fried thx to the keyboard.

First one was years ago, I spilled Mt Dew into the keyboard, and it caused the keyboard circuitry on the motherboard to fail permenantly.. This was slightly before USB, you still needed a keyboard plugged in to get past the BIOS. I had to scrap it.

Second one happened last week. I was at a customer(restaraunt) site to check out a pc that was making "burning smells". Turns out that the card magstrip reader(that plugs into the keyboard port) had gotten it's extra outlet snipped off. Then, the rocket scientest that did it went ahead and electrical taped it making it look legit. The wires inside touched and fried the keyboard bus on the pc. I ended up frying a replacement pc as well before I realized the cause.

Lesson? Restaraunt employees cannot be trusted(this mostly applies to managers).

XM allows you to sample almost every single channel on their website......which is mostly the reason that I have XM in my car. Sirius may be great, but the no one will ever know it unless they get their marketing act together.

As far as my car, the transmission doesnt allow you to downshift if there is more than a 3000 or so rpm deficit between the gears.

Also, to the GP who said never to turn off the ignition in a moving car...you can surivive without power steering, in fact *GASP* some cars don't have it to begin with.

AMEN. Try having windows on your cellphone. It's absolutely miserable to deal with(work phone, otherwise I'd toss it in a heartbeat).
