The adventure genre has dissipated... not that it's a bad thing. After all, it's not often that a whole genre grows so gigantic that it renders itself obsolete.
This is your life, good to the last drop. It doesn't get any better then this. This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time. This isn't a seminar, this isn't a weekend retreat. Where you are now, you can't even imagine what the bottom will be like. Only after disaster can we be resurrected. It's only after you've lost everything, that you're free to do anything. Nothing is static; everything is evolving. Everything is falling apart. This is your life. Doesn't get any better then this. This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time. You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake! You are the same decaying organic matter as everything else! We are all part of the same compost heap. We are the all singing, all dancing crap of the world. You are not your bank account. You are not the clothes you wear. You are not the contents of your wallet. You are not your bowel cancer. You are not your grande latte. You are not the car you drive. You are not your fucking khakis. You have to give up. You have to give up. You have to realize that, some day, you will die. Until you know that, you are useless. I say, let me never be complete. I say, may I never be content. I say, deliver me from Swedish furniture! I say, deliver me from clever art! I say, deliver me from clear skin and perfect teeth! I say, you have to give up. I say, evolve; and let the chips fall where they may. This is your life, doesn't get any better then this. This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time. You have to give up. You have to give up.
This combination offers tremendous synergies as GameSpy and IGN have very complementary strengths
What is it about business deals that reduces everything to verbal sludge?
The quality of IGN's articles is far beyond that of Gamespy's... Hopefully the Gamespy editorial staff gets downsized in the process, and thus forever freeing games.slashdot.org from stupid Gamespy filler articles.
Aww you are absolutely right about Liquid TV. There is no show I miss more than that! Does anyone remember the "BIG IF"? And Dogboy? How about "the Naked Truth" on stick figure theatre? I never saw the last one.. I need closure!
One short I remember quite vividly but can't figure out what it was called. It was, I believe, set to Vivaldi's four seasons, and had a dry voice reading off words from the dictionary ("accede.. accelerate.. archive..")
While this movie could go any direction, wasn't there supposed to be another book released at some point? Back when Adams died, I remember seeing in a news article that a sixth book in the series was left incomplete, but was to be published anyways.
Games cannot be considered serious art by the "mainstream" because most video games right now, by and large, are "technological determinism." Why? Because that's what sells games.
GameSpy just had that "Underrated Games" column, which included both Rez and Ico, two very hypnotic and "purposeful" games. It's pretty clear that the non-standard sort of experience that really captivates the player simply doesn't appeal to the big "middle-crowd" of system owners; people who only buy a few games that appeal specifically to their tastes. Very few people seem to be "hardcore" enough to want to experiment.
Games will reach that point, but they haven't reached it yet. As for pretentiousness... well, almost any art can be called pretentious.
IIRC, the trick to beating Link's shadow was to stay on the far left side of the screen and just keep slashing. He'll try to jump into you and will continuously hit your sword.
Man, I can't believe that guy never beat Joe & Mac. The first time I played that game, I beat in a couple of hours. It was disappointingly short, because it had some fantastic artwork in it.

"And the guy being thrown is the actor who we captured as Raiden in MGS3,"
Umm... is this a typo a tremendous spoiler/disappointment?
Will of warrior triumphs!
I'd like to dip my balls in that.
omg!! I love The State! Haven't seen it in years, though.

Filler article, obvious conclusion! Faux thinking! Decorate your webpage!
It's all a matter of drugs. So long as one never sees FLCL sober, it's a new experience every time!
Does it matter? Nope... none of it does until they bring Furi Kuri back!
Console + Laptop... what more do you need in life? Simplify, man.
This file makes me wonder if japanese would be easier to "synthesize," given how the lanuage's phonics are quite simple compared to english.

turning your local wardriver into Mercurius, God of Traffic
lololol!!!
Considering that ME was basically the same as 95b, it can technically be considered seven years old.
Yay! I just found my copy of Super Mario All-Stars in my closet! No SMA4 for me!
Yeah, you're right. Thanks for clarifying.
since when did "urban" stop meaning "sprawling suburbs" to meaning "inner city."
I can't believe Kibo came up here! I LOVE Kibo!
...from the rock's point of view. 8^)
Damn it, I looked all over aol.com, but I couldn't find nurse jokes anywhere. Google's cache is worthless!

Anyone have information on this?

I can't find the motivation to care about this... Fuck, I don't even want to live anymore.
