Oh this won't set well with the (man made) global warming crowd. Just wait, they'll say even if the sun cools,
due to increases in "greenhouse gases", the earth will continue to warm bla bla bla.
recording an officer conducting an arrest comes from the point of perception. Usually, the camera starts rolling
AFTER the incident that caused the person to be arrested. Mostly, you only see ONE SIDE of what is going on,
or, the police swarming all over one "poor defenseless" person. Did the person shoot at an officer, pull a knife,
drive a zillion miles an hour, try to run over someone, hit someone, or try to run down an officer?
THAT is the problem with recording an officer incident to an arrest, perspective.
I don't have a problem with video taping an officer, because, officers, as anyone under the color of authority, should
be held to a higher standard than the general public, but, the problem with taping, is that you only see "one side" of
an incident, and people not knowing the whole story, will get worked up about something that isn't what it really
is. Bad police officers need to be thrown out, but this will get good officers labeled as bad, without knowing what
really happened.
Back last fall, I was looking for something to replace my Tilt2.
I was toying with another windows device, or switching to Android.
Nothing against iPhone, it's a great device, but doesn't suit my needs. I like to TINKER!
Kind of hard to do with an iphone.
I went with an android device. Whereas with my 3 previous windows device, I had to either dump the
carrier rom, put an hour into tweaking settings, deleting this, adding that, even though my Android
device came with 1.6, it was a REFRESHING change. All I had to do was set up my gmail account,
and boom! Every contact & phone number ported. No lock ups or anything. Then, in December I
updated to 2.2 and its like having a new phone. Even on a carrier rom!
Unless a manufacturer comes out with a larger than 4.5" screen, I'll stick with my 5" dell streak
running android.
Then don't smoke...pretty simple isn't it?
Oh, I'm addicted, I'm a victim, I don't have the will power.
In other words, you are a weak pathetic human being that can't overcome something?
In the "old days", if you wanted to quit smoking, you QUIT! And as a kid, as I was, you
had to put up with your parents getting use to not having nicotine in their system. After a
couple of weeks, even after smoking for 20 years, they were done with it and back to normal.
Now, you have a patch for this, group for that...geez! No wonder the (USA) is so screwed up.
We don't know how to stand on our own two feet without a "support group" for everything.
It's a good thing the people of today (in the USA) aren't trying to found a new country...they'd die
within the first few hours without a cell phone, starbucks, facebook to deal with. Imagine having to
FIND your own food.
Bunch of pathetic weak a$$ sheeple is what we have become.
Screw you liberal idiots!
Ok, the DEAD GUY, had a proven history of violence, was ARMED with a hand gun, was shooting it, had assaulted officers
in the past. They get him cornered, and they just execute him? Is that it? YEAH RIGHT! The idiot was given multiple
verbal warnings to raise his hands, and most likely made a sudden movement, or made a statement he was going out
in a blaze of glory. You'll notice that it wasn't one officer that fired, then the others joined in. They all shot at the same
time. As for the idiot woman in the story that said "they unloaded on him". Officers are trained to unload the entire magazine
to put the threat down. Not only that, you ask any officer who's had to pull the trigger, and they will say they heard bang, then
click click after they ran out of ammo. Stupid civilians...why not take a ride along with an officer, on a night shift, and when
they pull someone over with tinted windows, who has a history of violence, we'll let YOU walk up to the window and say let
me see your drivers license. Let's see how you react! Many an officer is dead because some idiot wanted to brandish a
gun, and many kids today don't have fathers because some thug wanted to break the law.
I hope the dead guy rots in h*ll! Kuddos officers, you did your profession proud!
Just install that, and anything that attempts to go to the net, request IMEI numbers or anything else, it pops
up and asks permission. It's funny/scary to watch how many programs that have absolutely nothing to do with
anything, request to send contact info, gps info, tower info and IMEI info.
My phone, I paid retailed (unlocked android device), rooted it and I can choose what is installed on
MY phone. I guess if you get a phone from a store, reduced on contract, you are "bound" by their
stupid TOS, which I'm sure buried on the 3,549 pages is that you accept any downloads from the
hive collective...at least until the contract is up.
Wouldn't know a PnP transistor from a 4001 IC, at least from what I've experienced in the odd store I pop into from
time to time. I grew up on RS in the 60's & 70's with their "P-Box" construction kits, and the 150 in 1 project kit.
Started out with those when I was 10,11 years old, then started tinkering by doing what if I change this resistor
from a 1k to a 10k, or a 100microfared cap to a 10microfared cap.
Now, you are lucky if they know the difference between a AGC fuse and an SFE fuse.
I've worked on photocopiers, printers & wide format units for over 30 years. I carry a paper sample card with me that shows
the color red, in different shades. Some glossy, some matte finish, some bright, some dark. When I get an end user that
says "the colors don't look right", after I determine there isn't anything wrong with the machine, the driver, or how it is set
up, I check their paper. Usually they will "cheap out" on inexpensive big box paper, and less than 92 bright. I whip out
my sample card that shows all the colors through the front and ask them which one is red. They most likely pick one of
the middle red colors, which is a bright glossy red. I then open it up, and show them that the red color they see in different
brightness levels or hues, is the EXACT SAME SHADE of red, but printed on different paper stocks. Most of the time they
get it, and once I show them how to set different driver profiles for each type of paper, I never hear about it again.
Back in the 80's, Bill Gates & company said IBM was too much "suits", and didn't know what the customers
wanted, or how to deliver it. Kind of looks like MS has done the same thing, sit back and just let Windows
run the roost, and now they are behind the times. Tablet computing, MS doesn't have a clue. Phones, MS
doesn't have a clue. Windows, or more importantly, the home bound PC, is on its way out and MS is about
5 years behind the times.
Let's turn the other cheek.
Let's say we wanted to use a minute of a Warner Brothers film in a parody of something.
You think WB would be so nice as to let us use it without a license? Considering how the
MPAA goes after people on behalf of studios & artists, I think not.
This will show you my age, but back in the day, I had a TI-55 and every time I went to Kansas City
to take an FCC test, they made us remove the batteries and turn it on without the battery, as to
make sure we didn't have any short cut formulas pre-programmed.
Ah....the "good ole days"....LED display, short battery life, not much functionality. Oh well, it
made us THINK a little more I guess.
73's
"Make" more people sick, more $$$ for the hospitals, doctors, drug companies etc.
On the other side of the coin, diagnostics helps detect things earlier, so they can be treated
before it is too late. Plus, lets say doctor X missing something, and six months later someone
finds out they have N stage cancer...too many slip & fall lawyers out there that would sue, just
to make a buck.
All of those UNION jobs. Unions typically vote democrat, so look for democrat friendly
tech firms to try to help prop up a dying institution.
If the U.S.P.S. cannot keep up, then they need to go.
I'm glad the SOB is dead, but think about this.
1. This happened in a country NOT friendly to the United States.
2. We didn't tell this country we were going to mount a military operation in their country.
3. This happened a week ago, people in the area heard the explosions, saw the helicopter(s).
4. Al Jazera said NOTHING about a military operation inside Pakistan?
Like I said, I could care less as long as the SOB is dead, but think about it.
MOST liberals are elitist, snot nose brats that think they know everything, are superior than everyone else, and
are dumb enough to pay 10 bucks for a cup of water with coffee beans, along with expensive computers, like the
Mac;)

can be toxic. I love it when these idiot professors, without any medical research to back it up, make some stupid claim that is inline
with the current liberal culture. I remember back in the 70's when there was the alarm that saccharin would cause cancer, because
they gave it to mice or some dippity-do nonsense. Then a couple years later, it was found that to reach the level of consumption that
the mice were given, you would have to drink something like 800 diet sodas a DAY! Well, if it didn't cause cancer, it sure as d*mn
well could kill your kidneys, that's for sure.
Most likely another professor, that couldn't get a real job after college, so he just stayed in the ivory towers of a university, where anything
that comes out of a book MUST be fact.
To come up with that?
This is what I've been saying since Yahoo. THEY DON'T PRODUCE anything, and they are nothing but a bunch of computers.
They don't "make stuff". We've driven manufacturing out of country, because everyone wants cheap stuff, unions want more money,
CEO's want more money, shareholders want more money. Well, you got it. Now look at the rust belt and other locations in the USA.
Jobs sent overseas, most likely to never return, EPA & enviro-nut jobs that won't allow us to drill for resources on our OWN DAMN COUNTRY.
Congrats! The experiment that is the United States of America is almost over, unless we get out heads out of our butts!
By this IDIOTS same logic, when Henry Ford developed the mass produced automobile, we should have STOPPED it as it would have put
people who raise horses, buggy manufacturing companies, blacksmiths out of business.
This idiot is as stupid and short sighted as his (in)famous father.
You see, when the Russian Vostok1 came back from orbit, they were so afraid it wouldn't land safely, that when it reached an altitude for safe
ejection, they shot him out. Now, if you read the report, the soviets lied to the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), which REQUIRED
that the pilot who was in space LAND with his spaceship. The soviets lied and said that he did, but it was proved years later that he did not.
So, the Americans "technically" were the first into space, if you use the FAI guidelines.
The soviets did the Americans a favor by lying to the world, and got the Americans off their butts and they once again proved that if you piss us off,
there isn't anything we can't do.
Oh this won't set well with the (man made) global warming crowd. Just wait, they'll say even if the sun cools, due to increases in "greenhouse gases", the earth will continue to warm bla bla bla.
More people trying to get something for nothing. Work for what you want and quit trying to get the fast buck.
