    even if it fails as a gpu being its an fpga should allow us the ability to reprogram it to perform other functions so i say buy the pci version since its not like going to be any faster than a rage128 or the like then reprogram the core as a a encryption engine or as anything yould like

    kernel.org just set your compiler to build for x y or z platform (assuming the gcc has been ported) write the boot code and the base kernel source practically runs itself maybe a few minor tweaks. since motorola is probably using a standard embeded cpu like an ARM, PPC, DRAGONBALL, etc the cpu specific code is already available Google for it.

    I'll bite the so called cold fusion device created supposedly created fusion in a bath of heavy water I suppose you could get energy from such a system not much, that is under the premise that it actually worked it did not this system under disussion may very well work but more energy is going into it than extracted it after all takes a lot of energy to over come the vanderwahl force and nuclear repulsion their just is not a way around that aside from smacking a stream of raw nuetrons together which still would not generate any more than initiation energy so hot fusion is the only plausible way of getting energy efficiently from fusion

    I always wondered how cold fusion could be construed as a power supply in anything but scifi since at best cold fusion would produce nuetrons these don't have atendency to generate electricity
    and being its "cold" also implies that it is fusion at room temperature not generating the usual heat associated with a normal fusion reaction; H-bomb,tokomak,etc. its the heat of atomic fusion that has the potential to generate electricity

    perhaps it has something to do with static charges maybe the rover comes into contact with a bit of ionized particles wich drains the neutralizes the static charge on the rover

    yeah well I am a Linux gamer and have been for the past four years almost exclusively. aside from owning a gamecube. Linux has definately made leaps and bounds in the past five years

    longer battery life because the system does not throttle the gpu (gas hog) up to do 3d work
    plus Linux tends to handle hard drive access diffferent than windows so maybe it is being more efficient there as well plus are you running kde/gnome/other these are cycle hogs and burn lotsa juice. with windows you don't have much option but to run the energy expensive SUV, Uh I mean desktop

    I think the original dirty bomb was supposed to be a last ditch effort on the part of the japanese during world war II when germany sent them some Uranium Oxide powder I geus it was supposed to be the ultimate kamikazi attack on sanfrancisco but there probably would have been more trouble if their plague dispersion tactic had succeeded.

    the easiest windows install ever has to be nt on an alpha you get a disk that preconfigures the hal and drivers throw in the cd input key make install choices then let it run 15 minutes from start to finish

    not a plug but try aldis cheap groceries and they sell medion computers and accessories I got a 200 gig external hard drive for 69 dollars in a town where the going rate is over 150 for 160 gig drives so maybe that will solve some of your problems

    wrong type of mustard thes are probably more like the mustard "greens" which are closer to a spinach than the mustard seed bearing plant that we mix with vinager to get mustard sauce

    ok I'll bite, what are you talking about? have you even tried a distro like redhat, mandrake, fedora, etc all of these provide good out of the box configuration. meaning you may never have to touch a piece of hardware's driver configs default security is pretty darn good, and 90 percent of what the average user uses is either available or has a clone. the biggest issue with GNU/Linux distros is that their exist too many options most users like to have a desktop preset and never try anything different. sorry enough ranting. you may be right in your situation.
