yes but what their paying customers want, is in fact a way to circumvent the copy protection on the cd, whic because of the infinite intelligence that is the dmca, is illegal;-)
indeed, and in fact this "vulnerability" was always a well known flaw in any of the groups that run trackers i've been involved with.
Saw someone exploiting it a good 8-9 months ago.
I'm sorry, but that's the dumbest example I've ever seen, being pythagoras's original theory.
For anyone interested the whole thing started with the 3,4,5 triangle, a right angled triangle with an edge of 4 and an edge of 3 had a hypotenuse of 5, (a known fact dating back to the egyptians who used it to work out land ownership). Anyway, pythagoras reckoned he could figure a way to expand on this theory, and suddenly one day realised that if you have a right angled triangle from say a path, with two paths intersecting and becoming one, there is a right angled triangle in there, and it ends up as if you make a square on one side of the triangle, and a square on the other side, if you add up all the "blocks" that make up the square that's exactly how many "blocks" make up the square that they turn into.
It's hard to explain without diagrams but this was how i was taught it and i always thought it was a clever way to think about it and probably correct in assuming that's how pythagoras was thinking when he discovered it (being that ^(1/2) wasn't really something used at the time)
what's it help if you have "redundancy" if a meteor punches through that section of the hull?
The whole point in a cooperative cell system is that it's ultimate redundancy, there is no 1 or 2 systems that if destroyed bring down the whole system.
If you don't see the merit in that for a spaceship... well, hopefully you never get a job designing spaceships:-P
Just an addon, it's "unnecessary" yes, it's true, the english language doesn't use the exact same letters for every sound.
Different bug, in fact the other one is more of a flaw in the IDN spec than anything.
It does however point out that unless you really need to use it it might be better to just disable IDN permanently.
rofl, the first cars were powered by steam, had to constantly be fed call, were noisy, went slower than a horse and consistently showered the occupants with ash and soot.
wow... Ignorance +1
I'm not from America and even I know New Orleans has been suffering floods and storms since... well, forever.
NOT just since the "effects" of global warming appeared.
Australia sends firefighters over to the US every year, and the US sends over its big firefighting chopper tanks every year.
Bur hurricanes and storms just aren't really our forte;-)
Well I can say one thing, your view is "Truly American" or at least the worlds steretypical view of one.
Intel is, wait for it, a multi-national you moron.
this tech will make precisely zit difference for everything except connection fees, rates will be relatively the same as Intel will have to pay the same rates as everyone else for the use of the highly limited amount of bandwidth that links us overseas.
no... it means they made 80% less money than last quarter/year/whatever..
Just because you make 50bn one year doesn't mean you should expect to make the exact same the next, I thought that would be pretty obvious?
So Nintendo's gaming division is still operating more than self-sufficiently, being able to pay all their employees and cover their costs while still having money left over.
Sony and Microsoft, on the other hand, have to basically use profits from other departments to cover these costs... bad business, but they have the money to handle it.
Huh, good point, lucky they aren't running at a loss then ey?
While Sony and Microsoft can basically keep running their gaming
divisions at a loss indefinitely, Nintendo, like any company
can also continue to run their gaming division indefinitely
if they're always making some form of profit. ....
Hell, the shareholders wouldn't like it but they could just
break even and keep going.
Mmm but a virus spreads itself, or by millions of morons clicking on it; should dvd-jon be charged under the dmca for every single occurence of someone using his algorith?
Seems like a damn good idea for the major browsers such as opera and firefox to embrace bittorrent as a legitimate protocol like this, as it gives makers of bittorrent clients something to point at when someone like the mpaa tries to get them chucked in a gulag for daring to create a program that could be used to download pirated material.
Once something is popular enough that it's being accepted into the browsers, it makes it very hard for people to argue against it.
I worded that all really badly (too much coffee) but I hope people understand my point.
dicky period key? or just love that exclamation point so much?

i assume nintendo will go the traditionalist route with only player 1 being the god who can turn off the console remotely ;-)

for the very reason this technology was created.
to try and get rid of the central point of failure.
Here's the official torrent. /. crowd will quickly change that ;-)

New Orleans,
:-P
is on a floodplain (basically)
it has been being hit by storms, flooded, wtf ever, for well over a hundred years.
Leave the ignorance to the Americans, please

blah, wrong, those hands won't be matching, the suits will be different. Everything, including the suits, has a rank in poker.

So punishment for crimes are determined by what most inconveniences large corporations now?
Eternal Darkness, Resident Evil 4, Zelda, Metroid.. Just off the top of my head.
There are a whole lot of good games for the gamecube if you take off those blinkers and just look a little to the side.
So basically he just says "no, they didn't out-innovate us, noone did, it's all an illuuuuuuusion!"
well.. anything that uses iptables should be fine.
