    HP printers are expensive to buy, and the consumables are at least 3X as expensive as their competitors (at least in Australia anyway).

    Not to mention the cartridges that self destruct - if you don't use them in time. Great feature that!

    I am responsible for purchasing of printers/comsumables at the company I work for. Would I buy HP? Well no, I wouldn't. This is just another reason not to.

    Australia also has the best judicial system that money can buy.

    Speaking as an Australian, I would think that they got it for free ... our government is constantly looking for ways to ingratiate itself with the US. It's embarrassing.

    To make a long story short, I met a lot more women in a few months than I had in the previous 10 years, despite my introverted nature. After dating a few of them, I wound up marrying a very nice woman. And -- please forgive me, I cannot resist saying this -- she's a stunning blonde, tall, gorgeous, busty, and has a degree in mathematics. Ca-Ching!

    ... but when business scale up and become increasingly large, there's no way that you can account for all of the people, or know them personally, and so there's record-keeping and spying and every such thing.

    But so rarely is there trust - people tend to do what they are expected to do. If you treat them like a bunch of criminals, what incentive is there for them not to act that way?

    I don't expect the situation to change, lord knows treating others with dignity and respect is not in most managers repertoire.

    I have also found that you can buy items that are poorly described and relist them with more thorough descriptions, links to the manufacturer's website, better photos, etc., and they will typically sell for higher than you paid for them.

    Bought HP 19" rack for $1.00

    Sold HP 19" rack for $280.00

    The lesson: buy low, sell high.

    If everyone who gets a copy of movies knows that they're traceable, wont this seriously cut back the amount of people willing to get screeners onto the internet?

    In a word, no. If I were a 'distributor' of entertainment that I knew was marked for each individual, I would simply obtain more sources and compare them. Soon, I would be able to identify the indentifying marks.

    And if I wanted to give the movie industry a big 'up yours', I would release my stuff with false markings.
