Don't want Slashdot to change into Reddit. Large audience do not equate to quality. Go to Reddit if you want to see all the cute cat pictures- please don't change Slashdot into Reddit. Slashdot has its downsides- but it still (even after Dice bought it) remains the one website that I need to browse once a day. Also happy April's Fool day.

I have Archos Internet Tablet 5. They sold quite a few here in the States. Unfortunately, the device is buggy as hell. When they came out with the tablet, Archos promised Android 2+ update but so far it is still stuck with Android 1.6 (Donut). The "official" market for the tablet is a tiny subset of the market by Google. There are random reboots and hangups. For some reason the wireless is really crappy. To its credit,Archos has released a number of firmware updates. But even after all this updates, the random reboots and hangups have not been fixed. The sound quality is good but I would not recommend it to anybody.

Citation needed. Who modded this shit +5 insightful. WSJ, or at least the editorial page, is very right wing, and have been known to spread outright lies , lies and more lies. The paper is owned by the "impartial" owner of Fox news, Rupert Murdoch.

Good luck with that. It works for the WSJ because the WSJ reports actual news; investors will not tolerate op-ed rants being passed off as news because it would make the WSJ worthless for financial analysts. The NYT (and subsidiaries like the Boston Rag, er, Globe) pass off op-eds as news and ignore stories which don't support their biases - such lack of objectivity is not something you are likely to succeed in selling online to people in business. People at home will just tune to CNN and FauxNews for their daily dose of op-eds rather than sit in front of a browser to pay for their spoon-fed propoganda.

A open world is better for everybody- restrictions on human movements are basically against human rights. Humans should have the right to go where they want to.

Being a black, I can tell you that many places in East Germany are still no go areas. There is serious danger of physical attack on immigrants in East Germany. Copyrights do have its caveats but you must agree that one of the reason such high quality music is coming out is because of copyright and the chance copyright gives to the musicians/singers/bands. Copyright protection is paying them money, which is a big incentive. Now , if you have talent it is more likely that you would be in center stage somehow or you will be spotted. 100 years ago, it was more that likely that your talent would go to waste. Copyrights and money have created todays musical world with countless genres, good musicians and quality music. If copyright would not exist :half of the singers/musicians will disappear ,as the most powerful incentive of all, money will be gone.
