I saw one article (I can't find it now -- perhaps it has been pulled), that attempted to compare ICE cars and Tesla cars, specifically the Model 3. It claimed that the Model 3 had a big drawback that would have to buy a new battery in 20 years time. Guess what you call most ICE cars when they are 20 years old? Mostly: recycled metal and other materials. The basis for the new battery claim ignored published data on the life of batteries, choosing instead to substitute some numbers the author had pulled out of one of his orifices.
The article also chose to arbitrarily increase the cost of batteries from what they are today, instead of assuming that battery prices would continue to drop.
I am convinced that some big short sellers are paying for a disinformation campaign, to force Tesla stock down.
Some people with more left-leaning opinions seem to think of Flake as some kind of hero for his minor rebellion against Trump, but really, he is just as bad.
Here he is, voting with Trump to appoint a clearly unqualified person. What for? Did he get some other commitment from McConnell that McConnell won't deliver on?
There was a story in This American Life about how he was ultimately unable to get a bill on the Senate floor to do something about the DREAMers and/or DACA. He was screwed over by his own leadership.
He is leaving the Senate, but he behaves as though he is just as beholden to Trump as all his other fellow cowards.
Libertarian really means: "fuck you, I've got mine", with a side of "let's create an idea to reel in some suckers who will tirelessly work to maintain the plutocracy".
There is this service, controlled by the government, that delivers letters. Letters from anywhere in the USA to anywhere else in the USA. It even delivers letters to and from other countries.
Amazingly, as long as your tax payment is postmarked on or before tax day, the IRS considers it on time.
So get out your check book (assuming you remember what this is and have one), write a check and mail it.
Yes, it's not like Tesla set up in a factory that was building cars only a few years before and there are plenty of people who worked in that factory still around.......
Oh wait, Tesla did. The "Tesla Factory" used to be known as "NUMMI" and it built cars for GM and Toyota.
How can you read the first posting with its false claims, ignore all the replies calling out the falsehoods in the first posting and then post your agreement with the falsehoods?
"Apple said an unauthorized repair shop owner in Norway"
See that: "unauthorized". It's right there in bold in TFA.
If it was "conspiring to intercept communications", it's probably related to the scandal of the News International (Murdoch's empire) practice of "hacking" [listening using default passwords] famous people's emails.
People need to stop voting for those candidates who are supported by people with a strong financial interest in existing technology, such as the Koch Brothers.
People die while driving to work. Using your argument, no one would ever get into a car.
Yes, Tesla's Autopilot isn't perfect, and its capabilities may be exaggerated, but I believe that, overall, drivers using Autopilot are less likely to get into an accident. Isn't that the real measure?

So? Last time I looked, the planet only had one atmosphere, in which gasses such as oxygen can move in an event called "wind".
We don't have a problem with "US climate change". There is a reason it's called "global climate change".

The same effect (to a lesser degree) can be achieved by hyperventilating for a while before attempting to hold your breath or swim under water.

From the article:
"Instead, I fear IQ has won at the expense of EQ"
In his own words, rational thinking has won out over emotions. If that's out of touch then I fear his idea of in touch.
$8,000 per vehicle.
$5k for the lane assist, $3k for the full autonomy (requires the lane assist)
This.
There are parts of Africa where schools are available to the children, but only if they can provide the basics like paper and pencils themselves.
Just donating paper, pencils and other basic supplies can result in many more children getting an education.

What's the craziest name for a WiFI network that you have used or seen?
Higher loyalty indeed.
You just don't know what the higher power is to which he gives his loyalty.
But can you run Windows programs inside the WSL environment?
Your state probably would not exist if it were not for the blue states subsidizing it via the Federal government.
I doubt that the designers envisaged such a large disparity representation that this creates. 37M in CA vs. Wyoming with about .5M?

The UK can be very good at low-volume hand built stuff. It's the mass-market stuff that the UK has problems with (eg. British Leyland).

Try to not be such an Apply fanboy in the future.
I would argue that this is likely newsworthy.

I have two words for you:
Poe's Law.
Completely unrelated to the $8k cost of full Autopilot ($5k + $3k), I am sure.
Also, the markings on the road were poor.
No stats? Didn't you see the link I put in my post?

Tesla's crash rate dropped 40 percent after Autopilot was installed, Feds say
Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good.
It's never consensual when there is a big power imbalance.
