Not even that, one of those rare-earth neodymium magnets will do. I fail to see how giving the HDD once over with these will still yield recoverable data. Those who doubt this obviously hadn't had their fingers bruised by them before. Still fun to play with, just keep them then hell away from your PC.
I'm not surprised either. Turnover rate is high and many of them are students working part-time. Once I had a cashier insisting that I present a photo ID along with my photo credit card. I politely pointed out that the whole point of having a photo on my credit card is so that I won't have to show my driver licence, which in my case is the same exact picture. "Store policy," she said, at which point I understood that she's a new trainee and must have felt it's better to be safe than sorry. So I showed my ID and everybody's happy. I guess my point is: try not to confuse the poor cashier.
I personally believe there are different types of support personnel. One type bares his butt cheeks when bending under the table to fix something. The other type doesn't.
Excuse me for not being a Linus fanboy, but Linus is NOT in the same league as Einstein. I'm surprised they're mentioned in the same sentence. When Linus dies, nobody will be falling over themselves to dissect his brain.
BMW keys can have their codes changed at the dealership. Just bring the title document and they'll do it for all your keys. I think they charge $100 for labor or something. Besides, the complaint is about the house keys.
This idiot lost his 2003 BMW with keys to the house, and sat on his butt waiting for insurance to pay for a set of locks, until his other car got stolen too. If he can afford a bimmer in the first place, he can certainly afford a $200 set of locks at Home Depot. That moron deserves to have his other car stolen.
Amercans pay 15-35% in Federal taxes, plus up to 11% state income tax (Montana). The Koreans pay 5-10%, total. The disposal income narrows dramatically after you figure in taxes. An American earning 100K will take home about 70K on average. But food and everyday items in Korea are 1/2 the cost compare to U.S. So a Korean will probably only have to earn 40K to have the same purchasing power.
There's a reason "future sales" and "sales that might have been" don't make it into corporate earning statements anymore. Because like what your parent post says, they mean didly squat to accountants. Perhaps this is a point that IP lawyers and accountants will spar over. Let the games begin!
Never ever charge your parents. You'll get an earfull about how many hours of labor it took to squirt your big ass head out, and how many diaper changes they had to go through each day.
Believe it or not, the drug trade is alive and well in southern China. Lots drugs cross the border from Burma, and in increasing quantities. And yes they do execute drug traffickers.
I very rarely download new Hollywood movies anymore, since as we all agree they're mostly crap. Bandwidth, which costs money, has been reallocated to pr0n. To me it seems to give me a better bang for the buck (pun intended). That and TV shows, old movies, and fansubs.
Most perl scripts I see conjure up mental images of duct-taped contraptions. If you consider that "creative" then I've got nothing more to say.
Why, 69 of course.
Duh.

Touche, the poster is missing a few platters in the drive.

Are you sure you were not destroying DNA evidence?

Have you tried something like this: http://www.american-media.com/Products/PC_Servers/ gt_cf1006.html?
I have two 1006 and one 1009. They're very nice-looking. Pricy, but you also pay a premium for Apple's style.
How much do you want to bet that the extra 8 percent of grey matter spends all its time thinking about sex instead of academics?
Hi, I'd like to learn more about this "friends" thing you're talking about.
Time for you to bone up on Korean history.

There still are. You can find them under "Communist Party of the Russian Federation" in the phone book.

And you pulled these very accurate percentage figures out of which orifice?

And you know that he uses his right hand because...?
Dude, have some minimal standards. Just say no to skanks.

All their ad show "hip" 20-somethings dancing with their ipods, not 50-year-olds on their way to prostate exams.

I'll be halfway on the road to senility by then. No sense living like a drooling vegetable for hundreds of years.
