A pre-boycott? Do I have to sign a little sheet in the video game store for that or can I just do it online? And do they require some sort of pre-refund to secure your place in the pre-boycott?
FTA: "In 2003 Zuccarini pleaded guilty to violating the Truth in Domain Names Act and was sentenced to 2.5 years in the federal pen."
What? Truth in Domain Names Act? So if I create a site about rocket launchers and register it to fuzzybunnies.com I can go to jail? Can fuzzybunnies be a porn site?
You assume a lot. You give a lot of credit where credit may or may not be due. You assume that Bob in the HR department is actually going to be able to interpret the credit history well enough to see 'the path you're taking'. Some employers will. Many will not.
And that's not really the point anyway. What I do with my finances is my business and contrary to what Spherion would have you beleive, there's little if any reason to beleive that someone credit history is going to reflect the kind of worker they are.
I use XP, OSX and various flavors of Linux fairly regularly and can say this: They ALL crash. They all do weird funky things every so often. Windows may have its blue screen of death but OSX has its spinning rainbow ball of death.
I am not trying to claim Windows is superior - it's not. But since XP came along the idea that Windows is less stable than its competitors is just not true.
Yet. We're still near launch. The more ambitious 360 games are still on paper. Give it a few years and developers will be feeling the pain of 8GB. And splitting a game into multiple disks will sometimes work. "Shiny new RPG X" will be fine. But it won't work for Elder Scrolls games or GTA games unless you want to swap disks everytime you teleport or take an airplane somewhere.
Hmm. You do realize that you're making judgements based off of a pre-release build you have not played of a launch title running on a pre-release build of a system you have not played. I mean, I understand that speculation is half the fun right now, but isn't that still a bit...premature?
Personally, knowing Nintendo, I would bet that the Wii controller works very well. Nintendo, for all their faults, usually doesn't mess around when it comes to the hardware. Right now developers are saying to themselves, "Hmm. This is cool. But...what the hell do we do with it?" If they figure that out, I think Nintendo will be fine. Although I suppose my speculation might be a bit premature.:)
Camfrog is okay. The image quality and frame rate are actually quite good. But it's more for group chats than one-on-one sessions like most chat services are. If that's what you want, look at camfrog. If you want to webcam chat with your brother in law in Florida every so often, Camfrog is probably not the answer.
Also, the signal to noise ratio in the larger chat rooms is terrible. As the parent said, dozens if not hundreds of people from what appear to be various muslim countries flood the English-only rooms with foreign languages and broken english asking every female cam they see to "open tits" and whatnot. IMO this makes the larger chat servers unusable.
And lastly the free version is quite crippled. So Camfrog is an option, but be sure to try it out for free before you give them any money.
I'm going to play devil's advocate for a second and say this: If Bob sees Madden 2006 for $50 or Psychonauts for $50, which is the safer investment? At least with Madden you more or less know what you're going to get. If someone is going to go for the original game they have to take a chance too and often the game will not reward them either.
How do you decrease the cost? There are many good 3-D engines out there that are free if not open-source. This will be for a computer mind you, but it's viable. Modeling software, music sequencing software. All these things can be had for free or at least on the cheap. So where are all these nifty games?
My point is that it takes people to make these games. And people cost money. This is why games are so expensive. It's not computers, dev kits and Havoc licenses. It's modelers, texture artists and level designers.
Sure, it's possible for less people to make a cheap little game and there is indeed a market for that. RealArcade, Reflexive Games, etc. Some of those are bona-fide fun little games. But your point of games being too expensive to make is only going to get worse as the pixel count on those 3-D models goes up.
This is going to be legalese double-speak, but strictly speaking the term 'remote control' does not imply wireless. My grandpa had an old stoneage TV that had a remote control with a wire running to the TV. And it called itself a remote control. So it is undeniable that remote controls with analog buttons in reference to "manipulating images" has been around since the 80s.
Yeah. Not only is this an AC troll, it's off-topic. But here I go.
Launch titles. Launch titles. They suck. Get used to it. You can't rightfully judge the quality of any system for at least a year after it's been out and this has been true for generations now.
That's a little unfair. Why not tell the guy addicted to gambling to just put down the poker chips? Why not tell the people addicted to sex to just keep their pants on? Real additcion is all about the lack of willpower. That's the whole point of addiction.
I've often wondered why he does this too. I've come up with a few possibilities:
His college roommates wouldn't let him play pong with them
His mother was raped by a madman wielding a thrustmaster
If he can't pass Super Mario, no one else can either
Perhaps the world will never know why the man is crazy...
Come on, now. That would just be too much. I mean, they'd probably even urban-ize it too. Add some rap songs, name it Serial Killa. That would just be way too...
Keep in mind that there are enough rabid adventure fans left to eat up anything Dreamcatcher releases(whether it's good or not) to keep that company going.

Hmm. You might want to check your system for viruses or faulty hardware. Not even my 5 year old AthlonXP 1500+ with 512MB of RAM does that.
So...if I don't support Sony and Blu-Ray I'm a communist now?

The first thing I searched for was j-pop videos, so I don't feel nearly as dirty. Hah.
I mean, they're just videos of cute teenage girls jumping around that you only need 3-5 minutes with.
Oh. Never mind.
Hah. That would probably be much more amusing than Madden's going to be.

Can you think of any other noteworthy launch titles besides those two games on those two systems?
Heh. I bet your typing improved as a result, though. Maybe they should make schoolkids play that game.

I want Adventure remade with the HL2 engine. Imagine those ducks in full 3-D glory.
Strongbad has an XBox Live! account? Nifty.

Besides, I already get dibs on the PS2 games.

What's Rockstar's phone number again?
Yep. I meaa, tell me that scary little acid-rabbit thing that answers your mail for you isn't disturbing...
Keep in mind that there are enough rabid adventure fans left to eat up anything Dreamcatcher releases(whether it's good or not) to keep that company going.
I feel dirty saying this but...I'd probably buy that...
