Overkill much? I can see 1 AP per section between restrooms/flight attendant work areas, but per seat row? From the article it sounds like they're using some kind of RF signal, so it's not like they really would need to preserve line-of-sight. Anybody have details on why, exactly, they're need an AP for every row of seats?
If the funding has dried up, and he's prepared to move on to other things, why not open it? Pegasus was my first mail client, and I for one would like to see it bloom as an open source package rather than die a slow, horrible death as abandonware.
Then you are the exception in my experience, and I sorely wish more people in positions of authority were like you. Every single person I have ever had dealings with who is in a management role has either lied to me, or not gotten his/her facts straight before making an assertion that has caused myself, or others, quite some headache. By and large, people who seek authority do so because they then have a certain influence over the lives of others, and they _LOVE_ that. It's not the work that they do; it's the power, however limited, that they can lord over others.
The worst was when I was being paid less than the minimum rate for the position I held, and was treated like I should be grateful for it because it was $3/hr more than my prior position. This, after I had already been doing the work that the higher-paying job required for over a year while still being paid at my prior position's rate. This kind of thing, as I have experienced, is exactly what every manager I've ever dealt with has wet dreams about pulling off. I was a naive kid back then, though, and will not fall for it again.
Tell me my experience is not common, and that's fine, I can accept that. My experience has to, though, have an influence on the statistics and not just be thrown out as a garbage data set.
I'd go further than that, and correct it with 4 out of 5 knowingly lie, the other one does it out of ignorance. All bosses lie; it's just a matter of how much, and how bad the lie is.
Well, if it came down to it, yeah. That would happen. It would mean _many_ generations of bad blood, but eventually the population could spread, diversify, and get back up to a better selection pool of genes. A species can recover from such a catastrophe (it's theorized to have happened with cheetahs), but it's a long, difficult process that may just as easily end up with extinction.
Y'know, every single RPG since BG2 has made me wish somebody would remake the entire BG series in one of these gorgeous new engines with the 3.x rule set. NWN pissed me off so much with its tiny party I never bothered to play it much. KotOR made me long heavily for at least a 6-character party, and more more MORE side quests! The Icewind Dale series, while fun, didn't have the character development of BG2. Ah, well. I don't think anyone will ever top BG2. Now somebody needs to make sure I'm wrong.
So, if you're fed up with the debate about pluralization taking over the discussion instead of the actual story, why is it that you are the first one to bring it up? Hmmm?:)
It's funny, the winning bidder has a score of 2, but the seller clearly states that he will only sell it to somebody with a score of at least 10, and a positive feedback percentage of 98%. Somehow, I think this auction is going to be voided and the seller is going to try again. That, or the winning bidder is a plant to force this auction to end in this manner.
Take it in small doses!

I have the same problem, and my solution is to play frightening games in small doses. 10-15 minutes here and there, and eventually I make my way through it. It took me almost a week to get through Ravenholm the first time, just because I needed to take so many breaks and go play Civ.
As an alternate solution, I will just blast through such a scene quickly, letting whatever baddies reveal their locations, then I go back to my save point and do it again with full knowledge of just what nastiness is going to jump out at me and when.
I feel the same kind of intensity from other emotions in games, not only fear. It's just much easier to deal with the other emotions, as they don't come with a built-in fight-or-flight response the way anxiety and fear do.
In my own experence, "hybrid" kids are much better looking if the parents are from more dissimilar races. They also seem to be exceptionally bright children. The majority of the "hybrids" I've known that came from more similar races don't turn out quite as attractive, nor quite as intelligent, as the dissimilar hybrids. There doesn't seem to be much of a differentiation from the average for similar hybrids, so it's not like they turn out bad; just not as good as the dissimilar hybrids. There appears to be a skewing towards the exceptionally good for the dissimilar hybrids.
Good of you to bring that up. There's a big difference between saying everyone who isn't on your side is your enemy, and saying everyone who is not your enemy is your friend.
The concept of a "brain dump" has always fascinated me, but it doesn't do anything for the person who's dumping their brain. They're still dead. That isn't them that continues to exist.
Yeah, but he's dead. He played at my high school my senior year, and boy that guy was huge! Not much of a surprise that he died just a few years later. Of course, he was actually assassinated by the US government to keep the free Hawaii movement under control. [/tin-foil-hat]
Entire libraries of games that may no longer be available physically, and you never need to play disc-swap! It's not a monthly service, either. As long as they keep the business model as a pay-for-game as opposed to pay-per-month, I'm in. Now they just need to work out a few bugs regarding offline play, and all will be well.
Well, kinda, yeah. I already have the original trilogy laserdisks, and have them converted to DVD. Why should I pay $xx.xx to have it again with a nice pretty package? I'm looking for the original trilogy transferred to DVD cleaned up and pretty, not laserdisk or VHS quality on DVD media. Until that happens, it's unlikely that I'll purchase another copy of Star Wars.
Honestly? Will the original Trilogy ever be released in a non-craptastic form? Perhaps we will have to wait for the Blue-Ray HD-DVD battle to be resolved. This particular release leaves me feeling underwhelmed, and my pocketbook will stay closed.
Wars are very rarely fought over just religion. Religion is, however, used as a motivating force to get the common people behind "The Cause." The vast majority of wars are fought over land and resources (i.e. more power for the people in charge). Occasionally, you get a war of separation where the people kick their rulers out, or a war of religion where the "True Believers" kick out the "Heathens," but those are comparatively few and far between as compared to the wars of power, influence, and money.
Some day I'm going to make a list of all the wars in history and boil down the percentage of contribution to money, power, land, resources, ideal, religion, blah blah blah so we can stop blaming religion for all of the world's woes. You want to know what the real problem is? Greed. That's what's wrong with people and why we can't get along.

I think that speaks volumes about "1337."
Oh, I have no opinion one way or the other. I just found your post amusing.

Ah, so the preferred method of punishing one for pointing out spam is to mod them troll. Nice. Thankyou, mods-on-crack.com!
Somebody please mod the parent spam to hell.
That's exactly how I see it! It seems to illustrate that there is greater benefit in the mixing of races than in isolating any particular group.

Boy, I must be the most immature loser on earth. I need to start experimenting with LSD right away!
Here we go again...

Holy crap, a comic character has come to life on Slashdot!
