It's a series of books that are not easy to just pick up and read through quickly. They tend to be long, and very dense.
I say this having been a long-term, avid Tad Williams reader. I picked up his very first novel while in High School, 'Tailchaser's Song'.
IMO his newest series is the best, even better than 'Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn'. The Otherland series was good and inventive but I think it tended to drag.
Because most HR people are old, and trained in old ways. Plus many companies have most social networking sites blocked completely, so they couldn't if they wanted to.
Actually, elephants are only slightly slower than humans when they want to move. And in many cases, you'll find they can be deceptively fast for their size.
As an aside, I've never actually encountered a hybrid owner who was smug about it. A few of my friends own them and it has never even actually been mentioned other than when I was thinking of getting one and asked how it had been running.
Yes, because coal is available under every square foot of the earth, right?
I mean, solar is only found collected in certain areas that are quickly seized by whatever government is in control at the time, but coal is literally just all over the place and freely accessible to everyone, right?
I watched the Colin Quinn show a few times because I actually wanted to see something similar 'from the other side' so to speak, but his comedy simply was not up to par with TDS. If it was out there with no comparison, it would have lasted longer, but the TDS was just infinitely better and thus Colin's show just looked bad by comparison.
The 1/2 Hour News Hour was a fricking train wreck. I watched a few mins of it a few times, but it was one of those things that was so terrible it wasn't even good at being bad.
Oh, B.S. I, and everyone I know who watches it, have laughed just as hard at the cracks he's made at the Democrats expense as the one he's made at the right. Also, the whole 'been experimenting with making fun of Democrats. They started doing it this past Spring,' is a line of crap as well. They might be doing it *more* as of late, but they've always done that as well.
Hell, things like goatse is why I would want such a tool in the first place.
I have warm, fond memories of him, tubgirl, the lemonparty, twogirlsonecup. They comfort me at night, and keep me warm inside my heda, where they frolic and romp through green and brown fields. Ah, the heady springtime of the internet, where such creatures roam easy and free. Now we enter the dark says of summer, where the storms of incomprehensible images and video come upon us, cheapening these rare jewels.
It's a very pretty game. At first I was really into it; I liked that skills kept training while you were logged off, and I liked the first few missions where you go mine stuff and fight off some NPCs and stuff. But then, I talked to a friend who'd been playing a year and watched him play some. You basically start off in a protected newbie area where you can just do your own thing and have some fun, but once you get out it's a no man's land of sharks, and the only way to survive is by joining a gang and staying close by them. It just doesn't seem all that fun.
The biggest problem with EVE is that you have to be really committed to it. You can't just sit down and play by yourself a few hours. There's no picking up a PUG and doing something.
They have guilds they call 'Corps' that are generally very big, and they 'own' a certain section of space. If you join that Corp you are usually fairly safe in that area unless another corp comes in to attack. But the thing is, you can't go at anything alone. Or if you do, you'd better be able to run away fast.
The best way to imagine it is almost like being in a RL army. You can't just hop in your jeep, drive to Germany, and have a fight. It'd be you Vs. dozens, or hundreds of them. You have to basically travel in a pack with your guild because alone, you die.
No. Just because you've not read the books doesn't mean they are just a copy of someone else's work.

Unless they wanted to go home and do it.
I'd wondered what was causing the strange smells.

Ninjas don't have Wenches.
Open Flame nothing. Overclock one of your spare CPUs and use the bug as thermal paste, it'll cook up a treat!
Reminds me of the joke that..
The great thing about the USA is that anyone can become president.
Looking at the current administration, the bad thing about the USA is that ANYONE can become president.

Dumbass.
Like this one? It was modded down, right?
Moron.
Not just the womens', the mens, while not as obvious, seemed really off to me as well.
In greco-roman wrestling one guy thought it was so blatant he threw away his Bronze Medal.
Mod parent up, that site has a wealth of funny.
Even funnier, I think, than the computer stupidities are the non-computer ones. Sample faves:
"A small deer came into my camp and stole my bag of pickles. Is there a way I can get reimbursed? Please call."
Sadly, GWB Cut all funding for deer-related pickle reimbursement.
"Found a smoldering cigarette left by a horse."
Damn horses, always littering with their filthy habits.
"The places where trails do not exist are not well marked."
This must be rectified immediately.
"When do the deer become elk?"
When the hour is late and you've had 10 too many beers, boy.
I'm trying to figure out if you were trying to be funny, or you were being funny just by happenstance.

I'm as shocked as you are.
And don't forget sticky. And the smells...my god, it's like stars!

I think the problem is Porn. I mean, who wants to see HD Porn? They need the fuzziness so you won't see past the makeup to hide all the blemishes.
Plus, ever see a close-up in HD? Yeesh, no thanks. I don't need to see all of some old guy's pores. There is such a thing as TOO clear.

He's quieted down now that you've shown evidence.
I'd bet because those involved have been doing this a while and are tired and getting lazy. They want to do something else.
