Basically Microsoft's strategy is to observe the industry, see what new innovations are going to be profitable, then duplicate them, market the hell out of them, and tie them into as many other MS products as they can.
Watching an amazing goal is fun. But it is nowhere near the same experience as watching a full game at the edge of your seat, and experienceing an amazing last-minute goal in its context.
After sitting through an entire game of soccer, it would take little to excite me.
Well, the shift is going to happen over a few years, starting with their low-end systems. They will phase out the G4's before they fool with the G5's. Computers go obsolete every few years, and the G5 is still a cool processor.
In short, by the time the dual G5 system is defunct, it will be approaching obsolescence anyway (from age).
Good man. I'd agree... While I don't particularly enjoy many French dishes, they did invent (or perfect) just about every cooking technique in the book.
I had a drive crash (ipod dropped) and it was $30 to replace the full unit, since it was under a year. When 11th month rolls around just drop it until the drive crashes, and get a new one.:-P
Dupe, dupe dupe dupe. Why do I even come here now?

We just had this a few weeks ago. Come on, editors, get with the fucking program.
You insensitive clod!
there's a company that lets you hunt using a remote controlled gun, with video feed, over the internet. google it.
Freeman told reporters at Sun Valley after making his presentation, which was closed to the press.
Sorry to make yet another jab at the editors, but it needed to be done.
You just lack creativity.

Seems to work pretty well...

How do you memorize a number that deep
You only have to remember about 40 numbers and then they start repeating.
The "as in beer" definition is just a shorthand for free of charge -- so it's really the same as free of licensing restrictions.
In any case, the name isn't catching on; it's persistently misinterpreted. Time to call it "open source" and tell the FSF to EAD.
Please. For the sanity of us all. End the "free... and by free we mean..." crap.
I hope it goes where 'cyberspace' and 'surfing' went.

Pure genious and innovation.

He also dropped acid in his younger days. That a good thing too??
Yes.
A movie based on Halo. What a dumb idea. Another one based on Halo 2? HAHAHAHA.
Sorry to upset the fanboys but, it's just an FPS. It's a good FPS, it's right up there with the Quake series, but c'mon, a MOVIE? TWO MOVIES?
RAIL GUN.
Rebooting sucks. Windows probably won't like running without BIOS (Macs use OpenFirmware).
VMware, fine. I didn't mean to endorse a specific product, so much as running a virtual machine.
C'mon, mods! A 2000 flushes joke! Blue stuff in the toilet! How is this not even mildly funny?
I'm sure the shitty wage would go a lot further living in India than it would living in Southern California. Maybe I should send a resume.
I don't think dual booting will happen. Too much work, and makes Mac users reboot (and we love doing that!)
I think the more likely scenario is a version of Virtual PC that doesn't suck. Runs the windows code semi-natively...
Glaciers or the tops of ice caps...
