Unfortunately, quite possibly the most hilarious comment that will NEVER get modded up. If I remember, you shall get my "underrated"s. (Karma is in order).

Discussed YEARS ago with the possibility to sticking the source of DeCSS into a DNS cache (Among other things). I would put the source in an HTML comment here, but alas, no comment tags.
Just replying to say how shocked I was. Squeak is AMAZINGLY ugly. I was sincerely shocked. I would slap my professor. Twice. Unless he was black, because that would be a hate crime. (Family Guy quote, don't kill me. haha)
Blocking it with robots.txt keeps it from affecting google's pagerank... More of a quick stab back at the people doing it (A stab that they will never likely know about, though).
Just make it how you would try it at first, like a perspective drawing (Just a normal xyz plane), but for the added axis, make it intersect the traditional plane of the crossword puzzle with a curve. I hope this is clear enough, but it probably isn't.
I have been having this same problem after installing FC1. GRUB wouldn't boot into Win2k, and installing Win2k or WinXP over it would report "Unable to Load Operating System" upon boot.
Yeah, I refused to sign up for these, since this gives people access to a database of phone numbers to dial if they are not bounc by it. I considered the politicians, "charities," etc. but didn't even consider overseas locations that could get the list easily and legally violate it (More cheaply than telemarketers in the states, as well).
Damn, I knew there was the guy who had a handle that was the same as the mascot of that cereal, and Frosted Flakes didn't sound quite right, but it was all I had. "Tony the Tiger" must be some other guy.
Just a footnote, he's referring to the whistle that came with frosted flakes (?). It reproduced the frequency needed to gain control of a trunk, I think. It's been a while.
Ah, I see. Well, not that I think this is what they are doing, but if I were doing this, I would start with the Wine source (Assuming the LGPL was acceptable for what I wanted to do) and remove bits of Wine as I reverse engineered the replacements. Perhaps? But not likely, considering what has been presented before and since.
Proof that this is not a Wine "rip-off." Remember folks, this is what the GPL is for -- legal derivative works. It would have been immoral maybe if they had hidden the fact that it was Wine derived, but it's quite obvious they are not trying to hide it.
I've heard the same, and the easiest way to be 100% sure that the drives were in different batches it to make sure they were made in different states(/countries), heh.
At current hard drive prices, you'd be best off copying them all to two large harddrives, then securing them somewhere for future retrieval. Compare the cost of a cd copier with that of a 100 GB HDD, factoring convenience. Make sure you buy two separate brands of harddrives, just in case. Price watch: $59 - EIDE 100GB But don't buy the ubercheap shit.
By May of 1779, Arnold had begun bargaining with the British. Why would a man commit treason against his country, especially one who had fought so valiantly? We can only speculate. He was certainly angry and hurt over the many slights he received over the years. He probably felt unappreciated by his country and those he fought with, even sacrificing his own leg for the cause. His pride was most likely the biggest piece of his life that was damaged -- humiliation was always an affront Arnold could never take. Money, of course, played a big part. He was offered in excess of 10,000 pounds and a commission in the British military.
You're mincing stories. The NSAKEY fiasco was from a service pack that hadn't been stripped of variable names and whatnot. The windows source was Win2k, though it is supposedly incomplete (Microsoft says so, but i've never seen it, and Microsoft has a vested interest in making it unappealing). MS-DOS 6.22 is also available from what I've heard.
The article criticizes the techniques that are mentioned in the press release without mentioning that press releases usually not only include exagerration of usefulness, but also embellish how things have been done. In other words, if features are mentioned in a press release, don't expect them in the actual product -- at least not how they were promised or not implemented exactly how they reported. Remember, software engineers don't write press releases (They don't tend to read them, either...).

Interesting that you wouldn't risk your karma to say that... *grin*

It's Eats, Shoots, and Leaves Get the pucntuation right, since it's the ENTIRE PREMISE OF THE BOOK.
It has been said before, it's as simple as changing the microcode to make the G5 not a PPC chip.

Apparently someone found it funny... (Obviously not me, or it would be back at +4 Interesting now)
I just checked the patent... and it's a patent on a circular saw. CIRCULAR SAW!"

Won't blinking LEDs make an optical mouse go crazy? And on a related note, why is the article on a mousepad SO FREAKING LONG.
Didn't Lotus sue Borland for using a clone of their interface from Lotus 1-2-3 and lose their case?
And we all know SCO would never sue a customer...
