Xeon's are almost always for servers, wheras Opeteron's can be for anything. Try running a windows xp workstation on a dual Xeon system and you'll be very disappointed.
If you thought you paid too much for RAM in 2002 I paid 70 for a stick of 512mb in 2002. That may be expensive compared to now, but with my first 486 I paid the same price for a 4mb stick. Unless you own a server farm, what's 10 per half a gig or ram?
Maybe the real workings of the universe can't be explained with everyday experiences. After all, quantum stuff and relativity has little bering on hunting, communicating and making little ones, and that's what our brains were designed to do. To me, it makes more sense that the real workings of the universe would be incredibly simple rather than complex. Not sure why, it just seems to make sense:)
or does physics seem a bit weird? I mean, there's stuff that physicisists say, which makes sense, but it just sounds so illogical (like they're so determined to make something make sense, they blindly look for something that'll fit the problem, even if it's obvious that it's probably not right). Just my $0.01
if this OS will have full 64bit compatiablity? As if it doesn't it could seriously slow down 64bit sales, as I for one was waiting for Longhorn to upgrade to 64bit, and I know a lot of my friends were.
Isn't this a repeat of a story put up a month or so ago? I had a quick look on the old articles and couldn't find it but I have a strong sense of deja vu. Maybe 'they' changed something?
I'm pretty impressed as it's only a 'local alternative newspaper' that it's not buckling under the Slashdot effect, in fact it hasn't even slowed down! Even stranger is the Netcraft 'what's that site running?' results, showing that the server was recently running MacOS!
If your CPU runs at -40C, you have something very special. I, for one, would be worried about condensation from water becoming ice on contact with the CPU at that temperature! It happens.

Lots of asteroids, volcanoes, freak weather conditions etc contributed to making the dinosaurs extincted, opposed to just one factor.

and I prefer this one. Just my opinion though.
paying $699 per license
699x12000=$13,980,000.
So they're paying almost 14 million dollars for nothing. Nice.
What about GTA: London?
Sounds like an extension of the registering thingy in XP (where you have to register to use it). Nice.

I'm currently interested in buying a second PC and installing a Linux distro of some type on it. What would you recommend for a Linux newbie?
Nice one, Microsoft

I wonder how good it'll be at 64 bit support?
if the 1.0 build is supposed to be stable then Mandrake 10.0 should be 10x stable?
Companies like Nestle and Nike have been abusing human rights for years and nothing's happened.

Quite old.
Horray! :)
This and this answer my questions
So I guess we are testing the heatsinks right now, as we pound the shineola out of their webservers?
What the fsck does shineola mean?
try Vapochill.
