This is a proof of concept version of BitTorrent where the torrent files are transported over DNS. This will of course bog down BIND servers all over the planet. Everyone should be thankful that the files are not send over DNS. So why is it being posted on Slashdot if it's such a bad idea? Won't posting it on a major news site just further it's progession?
I wonder if streaming video embeded in web pages will ever become common place or even feasible? As networking technology improves websites get flashier and flashier.... Yes, but at what frequency, K3nn3th?
It's great to know that our space program is finally get properley underway, and that astronauts can now eat well. Next project could be getting TV for them?

I've been riding the trains in the UK for the past 6 months ish and I don't understand what people's problem with them is. Wow. You must be incredibly lucky. I've been making a 200ish mile commute for the past 5 years or so once every 2 weeks, and every year it just gets worse. The predicted journey time used to be about 1 hour 30 minutes with no changes, and I never used to be more than 10 minutes late. Now the predicted journey time is 2 hours 30 minutes and I'm rarely less than 30 minutes late, the past 3 times I've had a delay over 2 hours. Have you tried trains in the rest of Europe? Pretty much every country's train service in Europe is better than England's.
in the UK is not the lack of wifi, it's that I never arrive at my destination on time, as there's always delays for some reason. Don't try to run before you can walk, eh.
Maybe they've all bought licenses from SCO and therefore don't have to comply with the GPL? They wouldn't need to, as it's $699 for one processor, and DVD don't have processors as such.
as mobile phone technology advances. Mobile phone manafacturers need to remember security, and possibly send out fixes for vunerabilities that are free to download.
have you considered using a bicycle generator? i.e where you have to pedal for 5 hours a week to charge up a battery which can supply enough power for a TV for an hour or so?
Everything that has a beginning has an end. I see the end coming, I see the darkness spreading. I see death... Although I can't see BIOS going too soon, remember how floppies took to get rid of (and we still haven't quite managed it!)
not fair. why not do a world wide release all at the same time?
Because it's been done.

Will it not need some kind of cooling to prevent it overheating?

Never you mind - the Government has come up with New Rules for us to follow
It clearly states on the website that they're guidelines, not rules.
I'm worried that I didn't know about any rules, and that there are any in the first place.
There are no 'rules' of the internet as it's not owned by anyone and isn't in any paticular place.

I mainly take trains in the north of england to scotland or down to manchester :)

3D, when it blatantly isn't?
Now I come to think of it, it could be 3D if you think of time as being a dimension...
come from competition, not piracy.
I really don't see the point in this. I guess it's an ok novelty thing, but who else than James Bond has use for a R/C car?

how paper for years has been used to record things by writing them down, now this...
Maybe Google should make SCO happy, and change to Windows Server 2003?
