If they could somehow program Dx10 so it was backwards compatiable with cards now (such as radeon 9800 etc), if I'd bought such a card I'd be quite annoyed if there wasn't decent support for it in the future.

Is more bandwidth the key to making these things more palatable? I think better use of the available bandwidth is more important than more bandwidth. You can have all the bandwidth you want, but if it doesn't use it properley, then it'll still be a poor piece of equipment.

I think the information the public at large get should be carefully monitored. We wouldn't want people being able to clone themselves at home.
