Start them early with Tomacco's! They'll start craving vegetables.. then just give them regular tomatoes. They'll have already made the connection that tomatoes make you feel better!
Also seems like a good way to try to quit smoking?
Now I can spy on the chick next door.. I just have to hope she doesn't see a mini helicopter with a camera hanging off of it flying outside her bedroom window!
I hear you and I completely agree with that article. Many years ago I read about video games affecting children's attention spans as they grow older. While most shot the idea down as a non-supportable (did i just make a word?) one, it definitely makes sense. When I watch my nephews, they run around their house and can concetrate on something for a little while, and then they sit down and play video games. If you turn off the system while they're playing, they can't think. If you ask them to add 2 and 5, it's almost like they don't hear you and just solemnly chant 'video games' instead over and over. I really do believe their concentration will always be affected when they're older. But I know I have a short attention span, and I didn't play a load of games as a kid, but I had my own computer since I was 4(a sweet 286 with two double A's for a CMOS battery). When I sit on my computer, I feel like I am entering another world. And then I get out of reality and forget why I got on the computer in the first place for. I am definitely going to spend less time on a PC from now on I've decided. I think being away at college will help change that too (yay for college). But if you ask me, work related tasks such as monitoring networks and things like that is completely unrelated. Life is reality. Computers and the 1's and 0's in a hard drive is virtual. Hey, look! I see a bird!
Perhaps I'll ust take his idea which he says, "DO not attempt to replicate any of the experiments described below!" (And I like how the "DO" is capitalized instead of the "not"), and break a few CDs, arrange the pieces in different ways, take a picture of it, blow it up, and sell it to an art studio. =D Profiting from the ideas of others!
Yes, that is awesome and I am going to have to try it, but after watching the video it took me a little while to figure out that what I thought was a female voice at the end was actually his!
surveillance and traffic monitoring are different. No SH*T Sherlock. I'm glad that you responded to my message to confirm that mental gap in my mind! And how the hell do those two lines say one word can stand for another word? I never once compared surveillance to traffic control. But if people are afraid of traffic monitoring, then they will be even more afraid of surveillance forms of driving security and efficient methods.
In summary, string you="illogical"; string stupidVoter="stupid liberal with inablity to make a point"; if(you=="illogical") you=stupidVoter; return you;
My only argument is that increased government road monitoring or surveillance can be a good thing. While we may lose minor personal rights, it is for the better of security and efficiency.
BTW, if you're in Dallas, you might know the road I'm talking about: Cooper street in Arlington.
Many will say this is a true invasion to privacy and what is next is complete control over the traffic system. I must disagree. While I am opposed to stoplights taking pictures of light breakers and machine radar enforced areas (the ones where they send you a ticket in the mail), this is a positive direction towards making roads safer and more efficient.
Where I live, there is an incredibly busy road. The city was going to have a man monitor the roads and sit in a booth with cameras to determine which lights they should change when (for better traffic control). Some stupid liberal jumped on the issue and said "Absolutely not, it's an invasion of privacy, and Big Brother is entering our lives." And he convinced about half of the voters(the stupid ones) who were initially for it completely against the idea. The world is getting bigger, we have to try new things so our systems don't get out of control. With all the political disagreement and lack of logic the people in our politcal system have, we move in almost no direction.

Idea for an experiment!

Ant Farm PC

Let's fill up the case with internal strobe lights and other various case mod lights and see if ants can have seizures!
I think Segway creator, Dean Kamen, just decided business was slow and he would just start stealing his few customers' Segways so they would have to buy additional ones. That's exactly what happened. Plus he can recycle some parts!
nVidia shot up $5.39 per share to $21.37 on Friday alone when the news of the soon chip release became mainstream. That's a HUGE increase in share value for any company of that size. It's almost unheard of. I sold all my shares before today. Now I can purchase my new Radeon and still have cash leftover with the $2000 profit from only 300 shares bought a week ago for about $4500. =) The stock market kicks ass!
What we need next is a one-on-one shoot-out between Kasparov and a robot, both armed with old German lugers. My money's on the robot.

Where would I be without this?!
Why do robots have small wheels?
So they can stand closer to the kitchen sink.
Geez, I wonder how many people are going to get so drunk and choke on the new idea.. Slashdot is afterall read by plenty of college students!
Microsoft officials are now aiming for a 2006 release date for Longhorn.
:)
Yea, I'm now aiming for a 2004 employment date for Linux. Oh, wait I was anyway.
Why the apostrophe in "nazi's"? Yea, you're also forgetting that the question mark should be inside the quotes there!
I'm sure it will work better and more casually than the tracking device I have bolted around my teenage son's ankle!
Now I can spy on the chick next door.. I just have to hope she doesn't see a mini helicopter with a camera hanging off of it flying outside her bedroom window!
Now I can enjoy some new and completely unnoticeable changes!!
Sony puts AMD and Intel out of business! Competition is always great..

You're forgetting the G5 is dual CPU, these test are on single CPU mode.
I guess Apple was legit in its marketing of calling it the fastest PC ever..

Welcome to the incredibly under-developed USA. Most of this place is like that. And it's almost sad for any country to be compared to France and lose!

I suggest a logic test before someone can have anything to do with local or federal government. =)

Rofl! I think you meant to post one story down!
