[Insert joke containing sexual innuendo about blowing into NES cartridge here]
Seriously, though, without cartridges we would have been using casettes or vinyl. Imagine Playing FF7 on 30 vinyl records.
Has anyone actually successfully used vinyl to store data? I wonder how many MB one record could hold!
With Windows 8 faltering and 10 not here yet (and may still suck!) why, OH WHY, would Microsoft do this?
Windows 7 is all they've got. That's the only good OS. And they halfway kill it this week.
*sigh* Back to my Linux installation. I ditched Windows last year.
I run Linux Mint 17.1 and tried using the AMD driver for my AMD Radeon 7570. It caused a huge memory leak. I am again using the X.org drivers. They don't perform as well for 3D but it's all that's available to me. I am bummed out, too. The AMD drivers looked promising and I was getting much improved frame rates in Nexuiz. Like, from 20FPS to 65FPS kind of improvement. I really wish that memory leak would get fixed.
Since Ahead Software has ported Nero to Linux, the K3B coders should get port their application to Windows. I'd probably stop using Nero, but Nero does have more options for video encoding and whatnot.
When you can just fly it into a building instead?
At least his attempt for 15 minutes of fame wouldn't have been in vain. Think of the news coverage. No one would ever forget his name.
How do they intend to get Steam to work? If Windows users are catching hell when they try and "validate" their copies, I can't imagine what *NIX users will go through.
I've always viewed hunting as stupid. I'm not against killing animals or whatever... but getting up at 5AM and setting in a deer stand when its 25 degrees outside, freezing your ass off and not even seeing a deer is a waste of time.

Didn't Slashdot just post an article about AMD praising how well it worked for Linux a few weeks ago? How ironic.

I'm a bit Rusty on the subject. Pardon?

How about Microsoft Linux? http://www.mslinux.org/ They even have Linux Genuine Advantage in place already :)

Those were different circumstances. Hiltler was in the public eye as enemy number one. North Korea is kind of like a joke.
Nope, that wont help you.
Hahahaha! That made my morning!
Just keep everything on your hard drive on a computer that is *not* connected to the Internet.
Call it Ubuntu.

Half of Slashdot's readership have been taken away in black, unmarked vans for questioning.

Don't try to view these pictures if your refresh rate is 60Hz. My vision blurred up for about three minutes and I started freaking out.
Mozilla's CVS archive for Firefox 1.0 has been hit several times from the domain microsoft.com .
Couldn't Microsoft just buy Denmark?
if the hijacked planes on 9/11 had them.
You can play Frozen Bubble wirelessly! duh :P
This device was just released and already people are hacking it?
Can the DS surf the web and send email wirelessly, too?
How about some useful hacks - like a way install Linux on the DS with a Flash RAM card.
This reminds me of that movie Rainman where he could do complex calculations in his head. He also read phonebooks for fun.
Why doesn't the company release a native Linux version? Don't support companies who don't support Linux.

I'd rather just go buy a burger or something.
