I did the same as you - was a netflix subscriber, then switched to blockbuster because I could go in store and get the movies whenever I wanted.
I did this for about 5 months.
I then resigned with netflix.
Why? Because as more and more of blockbuster's customers went to the unlimited subscription, I was no longer able to rent ANY new releases. I literally had to wait over 2 weeks for a new movie at one point.
Netflix has similar issues, but at least you can wait in a queue for a movie, rather than leave it to pure luck that someone is returning a video that you want in the few minutes that you're in the blockbuster store.
You should watch the HBO series from Pen and Teller called "Bullshit". They cover the point you're trying to make, and clearly show you that you're wrong, as was Moore.
What it is, is essentially a mouse with a track ball on the top. Sounds neat, until you look at your existing PC mouse that already has a scroll wheel. My mouse can scroll up and down, and the scroll wheel can tilt side to side.
The touch sensitive top sounds like a gimmick. But it might work well. The only problem I've ever had with mice is when the unit quits tracking when I move it. I've never had issues with clicking.
You seem to have forgotten that when google was still in it's infancy, that Altavista ruled the search market. No one thought it would be toppled so easily. There are many search engines out there, and they all are similar in many ways. Google has a brand name, but it's not leaps and bounds better than the competition. They just use various methods to rank results, so while the results vary slightly, you still find what you want.
The issues are not due to PHP but due to the code being written. If you have stuff like register_globals on, you open a whole slew of possible issues.
But it's not just PHP, it's also the system administrator who runs the server. For example, if there is an issue with the way a php web application issues a system() type command, if the system was setup with SELinux, it wouldn't matter since Apache would be severely limited in what it could read or write.
Regardless of who is to blame, I have seen far too many issues with CMS programs - I just write my own. The only place where I go premade is with forums - I like phpBB. As long as you sit on a mailing list and patch when issues appear, you will be okay.
What makes your idea any different than pay per view on cable/sat?
Netflix's is putting out a pay per view. They will have to offer the user something over the traditional PPV in order to thrive. Be it a price break, or something else..
The problem with efforts like this is that they tend to be overzealous with the copyright efforts to make sure nothing is copied. Ultimately their efforts sabotage the product and no one buys.
What is interesting is that they are claiming internet downloads to be watched on TV - which is quite different than internet downloads to be watched on a computer.
Get one or two 4 gig gigabyte pci ramdisk cards, put your OS on one, and your webserver files or whatever on the other. Cron a backup to your normal hard disk every few hours or so and you'll beat the crap out of any hard disk ever made.
There are many software packages that also take screen captures every few seconds. Not nearly as easy to search through as text, but don't assume that a secure connection is private.
Turbo Express was a better system. It even played the full console 16 bit games.
Nintendo has always won against higher end handhelds due to the fact batt life is king when talking about a portable. So is price when dealing with kid's toys.
The Sony PSP is heading for a different market, and so neither are make or break.
You have to keep in mind he killed another Jedi. Once he decided that he would do what it took to save her, there was no turning back. The Jedi wouldn't accept him back after killing their own and betraying them. The fate of his wife depended on his actions and once he went down the side of the dark side....

Mine changes every 60 seconds. Maybe I need to upgrade to the more secure version :)

What's this have to do with Neo having a 20 gig hard drive in his brain?

It's more like the matrix happened, neo is the saviour, and the robots go back in time to stop him.
So the matrix is the prequel.

The offices that were raided were located in Europe.
So you're saying that an EU office of Intel being raided by EU police will cause intel to move jobs away from the united states and into EU?

I once fucked a thin woman, and you are so right. I broke her due to the lack of padding.
God doesn't make them like he used to.
Why stop at 5 megs? Just grow your nails longer and quit cutting them.
Anyone know how much ram the woman in the guinness book of world records can store in her nails?

See, and I thought the 55 mph was highlighted in cars from the 1980's due to the fuel shortage.
My car is a 2004 model, nothing is highlighted (speedo is digital), but it does have a nice red bar at 9200 rpm for redline.
Companies like dell are not shelling out $200 per copy of windowsxp. Not even $100. With that said, how cheap do you think hardware will get?
It's not that hard to find low grade crack...
and think of the children for once.

I guess you never played with R/C cars/planes much?
they don't sound anything alike.
i've never heard anyone call a celeron anything other than 'celeron' or 'celery'

I regularly go over 130 mph, and my speedo goes to 180, thanks for asking.

Woops, thats horribe wording. I meant to say that I saw that it was available 5 days before the movie was released.
