Digital texts can be produced once by the state and update better to pay qualified people to produce texts at university as part of the salary, than to pay publishers anything at all. So computers provide cheap texts and of course can provide learning simulations, that students can manipulate and program, beyond that, not much at all. No different from children staring at idiot boxes in the classrooms. Empty consumption of content does not provide an education and it only teaches students how to be empty consumers of content (oh now I get why M$ and Apple are pushing empty content education so hard).
The human succeeds because they multi-task the solution. The idea is to tackle the problem in parallel. So one part works on immediate moves, another works of mid length strategy and another works on final strategy. This is replicated to track the opposition, so their immediate moves, their mid length strategy and their final strategy. So the actual move and strategy become a composite of the outcomes of each parallel outcome and their influence upon each other. So a plan to eliminate say a critical piece, like the opposing queen whilst maintaining a point lead, as a mid term strategy, not as a final winning move, but to make the final winning moves easier, rather than just a solution to the winning move.
