Each time a person tries to coordinate via a social network, only to get refusal and rejection with the recommendation of an alternate network, that person is motivated to try the alternate network and if they get enjoy the new network try to shift their other friends to it, 'using the old social network'. Fascinating isn't the old fad social network actually accelerates it's demise but facilitating the mass transfer of people to the new fad social network.

You forget the names behind Facebooks IPO, Goldman Sachs. The whole idea of the purchase was to create the illusion of Facebooks ability to spend 1 billion dollars buying another company, basically in reality turning Facebook shares into junk bonds. The idea was to use the Facebook junk bonds 'er' shares to buy up other companies and create long term value where none existed by buying it in but the shares crashed and the insiders bailed, well, as much as they could get away with. All social media sites to date have proven to be fads, it is simply the nature of the market they target, easily bored, short attention span, dislike being forced into things, keeping Facebook social status up is really demanding, it is a hog for attention and in the end more far annoyance than benefit.

Your cells routinely die and are replaced, you measurably have died many times since birth, that birth being the extension of one female cell into another association of cells in some ways a continuation of the females existence, making males a sacrificial dead end. We are also part of an evolving ecology dependent upon each, a developmental line from the first living cells replicating and changing into a fully diverse ecosystem, independent existence, but inherently related and an extension of the living existence of the first cells.
