The site seems fine to me. The mod itself was okay, though I'd rather slap on into this mini-ATX case I have. For the BOFH who wants to play games without them noticing an xbox. Maybe someone could put it in a rack mount...
I'd assume you mean for either short periods of time or "outdoor" connections, as my network, as crappy as it is, has been fine all throughout the flares. (Except when it randomly locks up, but that's just the hardware.)
Well, I've noticed some things mentioned about WLAN cards in the newer kernels, though I won't make any promises about supported hardware.
The WLAN driver is actually one of the few things stopping me from using Linux. Well, that and NTFS support, but supposivly the new kernel supports that, too.
I have no idea what you're complaining about. For HTML, Notepad is fine. Why do you consider it a piece of crap? Because it doesn't color code anything? Personally, I find Notepad to be fine for HTML, and no reason to switch to anything else. If I'm in Linux I might use vim, and what's different? No scroll bars but it colors text. I could understand if you're creating programs with dozens of pages of text, but really there is no reason to beat the crap out of people that use Notepad.
If you need to express violence that much, buy a punching bag. At least that can't sue you.
"For example, users can ask their computers to retrieve all pictures that include a specific person's face or background."
While it may not be a widely used feature, I can see that having several advantages. The only uses I can think of right now would be searching for symbols (For example, an ancient language), or an artists signature.
How about you offer to explain exactly what you have to get done now, what you will have to get done later, and why their work doesn't matter as much. If needed, start going into technical details about everything, true or false, in the hopes that the jargon makes them go away.
Am I the only one who remembers this being posted before? Or was that another project that went from lava lamps to cameras... Well, either it's a repeat, or my brain must have subscribed to Slashdot...

Nice to see people making fun of Canadians instead of Italians for a change.
Are you sure you don't mean neon text on a yellow background?
But if you stand on your porch and talk really loud, I can try to get you arrested for disturbing the peace.
Funny, though it's not even Linksys.

But doesn't radiation sharpen your memory?

"Of course, you can't get everyone to conform."
As seen in programs like Winamp.
Funny, though you must be using some fancy version of IRC to have spaces in your nick...

Am I the only one on Slashdot with enough of a long term memory to realize that this is not new, and possibly a Slashdot dupe?
Wasn't that already an online quiz?
Steel doors, you're probably not responsible, but not installing machinegun turrets? _That_ is being irresponsible.

Apparently, mods don't read Ubersoft...
'Cause those who have no life and stare at it all day will lose their eyesight, much the same way one would staring at a lightbulb all day.
'Cause it's not?
Why not, they put a webserver in a fly?
That's all we need, and then the doors with the paperclip personalities, huh?
Don't forget "and not putting in background music, even if it's only a midi."
Or if you're recompiling a kernel.
I think you went a little overboard with that joke. Now what were the chances that someone would respond, huh?
