  1. yawn *shrug on Darl & SCO Overview · · Score: 1

This story is nothing but flamebait, and it really bothers me that Slashdot posted it. With submissions like this maybe Slashdot is getting dumbed-down. Is that even possible? Not only is this story complete crap, but it also is stale, and offers nothing new, and is boring, and is biased. Not to mention it has been out for a few days now ao anyone that is even remotely independanty interested in the SCO mess has already seen it.

Who knows maybe water is very common there and thats what eroded this hole into this rock. In any case, sooner or later we are going to turn up water on mars, find life, and reaffirm how precious life on earth in its abundance indeed is.

I will not take microsofts word for it. In fact MS has more holes than swiss cheese. Call us what you want at least we can look at our code, and we know it is clean. CAN YOU SAY THE SAME FOR YOURS?

  10. fair is fair on SCO Selective About Linux Licensees · · Score: 4, Interesting

If SC0 has a case ( i dont think they do) then they would want all parties, whether corps or home users to pay their fees. As things now stand SCO is essentially saying "only the big boys must pay". This is convoluted and flawed logic. Of course I would not expect much else from SCO these days. The real question is how does SCO expect to legitimize its claims by selective billing? If linux is tainted (which i doubt) then all users who knowlingly use it anyway are liable. This just goes to show that SCO knows they have no case. SGI has essentially said that they reveiwed all the code and compared it to sysV and we are clean. Really SCO should go after everyone if they think they have a chance in hell of winning. They dont and this tale keeps getting weirder and weirder. SCO is getting more desperate. You see to me this level of greed is where all our U.S. corps are. There is no difference in my mind between business and morality. Sadly SCO and M$ and whoever else are thrteatend by us choose to try to kill us off rather than embrace us. The truth is that they are calling us thieves while they are the ones that run the monopoly on IT. I would switch to BSD,but you know what? I gonna stick with Linux and they can come fight me for it.
