so you are saying that the clip I just watched is hentai anime ? Maybe I missed the juicy parts or they just did not include them in the trailer, but the protagonist WAS STILL A PREPUBESCENT GIRL.
I've got a clue, perhaps you'd like to rent it for a bit so you can see what it feels like ?
Could the signal be highjacked AFTER decryption but before presentation, similar to the analog capture of a digital signal ? then it could be passed to internal UN trusted hosts, the re-assembled again and passed out ? Obviously this is high level but it seems feasible.
I see your point. This is not directly germane, but in an effort to ensure the Corporate right to profit, they are going to ensure I can't exercise my free use rights. I think the governemnt needs to tilt the field towards consumer free use and the burden of ensuring a secure system should rest on the producer NOT the consumer. The existing laws COVER this situation and should be exercised, we DON't need more legislation, the only ones who benefit that way is the lawyers.
BULLSHIT IT IS MY MUSIC the INSTANT I PAY FOR IT. I can alter it, change the way I listen to it, edit it, time shift or media shift it in any fashion I want. What I can't do is provide it to others for free, or resell it. Beyond that it is my MUSIC, and if the RIAA thinks differently they are STUPID. I treat a CD I bought just like a book I bought.
BINGO, the above is right. Most DVD releases are long after theatre release, and the movie has made its money back. The DVD is just an additional market and BONUS money I think.
Who in their right mind would buy it ? If Apple levels the field they CAN ONLY GAIN. I figure you guys are right though corporate politics being what they are...
I like many of the features but I've only got x86 hardware or an alpha. When does apple get wise and port to other hardware and kick M$ where it hurts...
I can even go one further here..the digital stream these leeches are serving up is anemic and contains artifacts and distortion that are not visible in the analog stream. I am not sure when the FCC decided to take up madating the acceptance of new technology or when they became the champions for the broadcast companies right to make a profit but they SUCK NOW. Not only is there no reason to go to HDTV, there are several very good ones to avoid it, increased cost, increase restriction of use, and increased pollution to just name a few. Funny but when a gadget that consumers WANT is introduced companies CAN't make enough of them, but HDTV seems to just sit there.....GET A CLUE FOLKS.
but the trailer did nothing to make me want to see it....I guess I will catch it on DVD via netflix. Someday a company, probably not Japanease is going to make some good animation based on a good story NOT involving a prepubescent girl, or is that counter to the entire genre ?
ONLY if you want external access....Palladium is going to drive a NEW wave of NAT. Instead of just the IP, new NAT is gonna have to mask a Trusted Computer Bit as well. Then I can have just ONE Judas box and the rest of my network can be safe:)
but did you play the beta ? it is nothing really special beyond snazzy grafix. I was hoping for some new twist but alas it won't come from UT2003. I don't see how it can compete with 1942. I kept flashing back to Quake3 while playing it...
and he also has much to say about why current federal legislation being considered could make the problem of spam worse rather than curbing it."
Errr could that be because the average legislator is a MORON and has his/or her head jammed up a contributing sponsors colon ? Has the US governmant EVER successfully regulated, or EVEN DE-REGULATED and industry ? Trucking went to hell, the Phone/Cable companies have been screwing the public for years now under government de-regulation. We ALL know how well the government has been regulating and monitoring the Airlines....
Just the threat of a lawsuit and publicity is enough to make many companies 'change' their mind about specific issues. They add these clauses and figure most people don't even bother to read them much less be willing to fight it.
argghhhh, You fail to comprehend the whole issue. So YOU have a hand compiled Linux Kernel at home, good for you,(me too) but 95% of the rest of the net is NOT and will then REFUSE your connection because you are not a TRUSTED agent. You will be able to BUY a sealed Kernel from a big vendor, say RedHat, who will pay for the certificates and the ensure the "safety" of the OS, but the MINUTE you add or change that Kernel you will need to be recertified or be ISOLATED. The only solution is to stop this CRAP before it starts, or prepare an Seperate network.
public library, and after a long discussion with the county DA it was determined that the keeping of check-out history records was at the bottom of this issue and doing away with the existing records and the ability to keep them beyond the returning of the book was both legal and prudent. Now a librarian can only show what you have currently out and has no records to refer to in the event of F(airly)B(enign)I(diot) intervention.
No I DON't expect perfection, just that the company be prepared to offer support for a card that they SOLD, when they SELL IT, not several weeks later. The driver disc I was sent with the card was bad, and I COULD NOT download drivers, not available, and it took 2 weeks for them to stop sending the canned go to ati.drivers.com and download WHAT WASN'T THERE. I've had ATI cards before, and befoe you say they work FINE why don't you go READ SOME. The list of defects is more than TWO PAGES LONG, again it is a new card, but like I said before IF YOU AIN'T GOT ONE YET HOLD OFF A WHILE and let them iron out the bugs, or you can believe the AC who seems to know everything...
BTW thanks Marco for putting up your ATI catalyst disk on FTP so I could actually USE MY CARD.
A giant Exec VP or higher bonus. Compare the salaries of the upper crust exec's and the rest of the company and weep. If you let go just ONE VP of international toilet paper consumption usage and performance monitoring, you could give every stockholder a $.01 dividend or every employee in the division a 3% raise. Nothing wrong with profit, it makes the world go around, but there has to be a line where morality and ethics outweigh the greed, corporations have repeatedly shown they are not capable of discerning that line...
A card is only as good as its support drivers and ATI support BLOWS. I've had a radeon 9700 since the day they came out. 2 weeks after they hit the market you could still not get ANY HELP from ATI. The card is great, their support SUCKS, and DRIVERS make the card. While I love the performance, the 5 day response time for a simple driver question, which WAS NOT answered, instead I got a form letter telling me to go to a broken URL to download drivers that did not exist. After 2 PHONE calls I still was down and It took me requesting a RMA# to actually get anyone to read my email. ATI's big problem has always been their LOUSY drivers and things have not changed. While the Radeon out performs my TI-4600, if drivers keep coming this slow and buggy I will be tempted to put the Nvidia card back in the main machine. NWN STILL HAS ISSUES with the catalyst drivers, and it crashes on exit about 85% of the time, needing a hard boot. My advice is if you've not already bought one HOLD OFF. Let ATI make their commitment to driver support first before investing that much money. BTW the WDM drivers they shipped with the card WERE not windows certified, even though they claimed they were. It seems the WDM drivers were left out of the bundle shipped to M$ and they just tacked them on after the fact. ATI support claims a certified driver will be forth-coming...or so they've said for 3 weeks now.
trust me they do spend time, or they are supposed to. Most of them just delete in mass and forward a random few through while chatting up the hottie in the next cube. [rant]This kind of behavior also begins to explain why the Reps have such a low opinion of email, the crap they see is sorted by someone who would lose a spelling bee to a box of rocks.[/rant]
Put your full name and your ZIP code if it is really your rep. The aides will recognize the zip as valid info, and a full name will lend credence enough to get the item past the first sweep and under a humans eye's.
LMAO !!!! Lowers the cost...hehehe that is a rich one, do you honestly think ANY of that savings will be passed on to the consumer ? If so lets talk bridges and ocean front property. If it lowers the cost it will just raise corporate profit.

things from amazon ? Wierd....I've not used amazon since one-click patent days....Fark em

how could somthing that IS NOT considered free speech be considered ART ? While I disagree, that seems to be the prevalent legal attitude...
