The key difference being that those newpapers you mentioned actually pay for AP and Reuters content while Google does not pay anyone for news featured.
A friend and I were out hiking this weekend and thought about how nice it would have been to see a satellite topo image of our route ahead of time or even to be able to plan trips that way. We both conceded that it was just a matter of time, with the advent of Google Maps.
This type of program just confirms it. I think it would be tremendously useful although it seems like a stretch at this point, that it would feature actual trails. Mapping streets has been done but inputting trails and their exact elevations and routes seems trickier.
I second this, WAterfiuled makes excellent bags. The exterior of all of their stuff is bombproof and they line all of their bags with neoprene to protect the laptop. The onus is that their customer service is the best I have ever received from any company ever, bar none. I chnaged my order at the last minute, no problem. Email correspondence was almost instant and extremely polite. My bag even came with a handwritten note from the manufacturer, very nice touch. To top it all off, their bag has been raked overt the coals and is still as sturdy and stylish as the day I bought it. They are a great company with excellent, very styloish, very utilitarian bags, I can't say enough good things about them.

There's been quite a bit of research into microbial organisms that produce hydrogen. I'd love to see more of this type of production but fear the oil industry will get it's grubby fingers into this at some point and that CO2 you mention will be a reality.
However, the production of hydrogen at a power plant, coupled with the efficiency of fuel cells is still more efficient that the average internal combustion engine in most automobiles.

I couldn't agree more about the functionality of expose. Most people that criticize it have never even seen it. I'd like to add that it completely changes the way you can drag and drop files. You can drag a file, activate expose, and drag it into the window you want.
Instead of being subject to Napster's DRM when you actually want to download/buy the song, why not just download iTunes. Assuming your university network is one subnet, like many are (and many too are not), you have access to dozens of shared music libraries.
You're right, we should probably just implement new technologies without even considering the environmental consequences. Who needs the environment anyway, it's just the air we breathe and the water we drink, not really important. Blind acceptance of technology is a much wiser option.
I would check out bags from WaterField Designs. They have the best sleeves for PB's and they have the very best customer service that I have received in my life. I wanted to change an order last minute, no problem, quick response. I wanted to hold an order from shipping and they held it and released it promptly when I emailed. They have very low profile neoprene combined with bomb-proof synthetic exterior that is also soft. My sleeve has lasted for years and it is still as nice as the day I bought it.
Oh and did I mention the customer service. You get a hand written note with your product thanking you. I can't say enough good things about these guys.
I have continued to look into other bags over the years but they just don't compare to these bags.
This will change the way people purchase music. With the usability of iTunes, and the advertising blitz that is taking place, there's no looking back. Kids who win a song from a Pepsi bottle, download iTunes, buy the song, realize how cool and easy this service is, will never go back to buying CD's. there will be folks who want quality but the masses don't care, they want ease of use and iTunes delivers. Throw in the fact that AOl is fully inegrating the iTunes music store and forget about it. Everyone and the garndmother will be using this service in a few years.
This will mark the beginning of the end for CD's, let hope donwload quality will catch up soon, or I won't have a place to buy music.
Viva la revolution!

Ooooooo look, geek catfight
The lye is then reused to make more biodiesel, you need it for the whole process to work. The lye that is "washed" out of the fuel is excess.
Kid of Speed, coming to your backyard!
Except up until this time, it took more energy to process waste than you got out of it.
Yeah, except those settlers settled in an area where they COULD BREATHE.

You must be kidding. In the dictionary next to urban sprawl is a picture of L.A. It's probably one of the most spread out metropolises in the U.S.
It's almost summer down there, this is when fuel shipment begin to arrive so I don' think they're SOL, they're just sticking to their guns.

Seems like Apple's ranking will be a springboard for supercomputer sales, especially given their relatively inexpensive supercomputer price tag.
I would imagine that the cost per Teraflop is one of the cheapest in the top 100 at least.
Increased demand drives prices higher, not lower. Perhaps you are thinking of supply.

You have to burn THC to get high so unless you plan on smoking tomatoes, perhaps you should just stick to pot.
