California is only one state, right? So why don't the rest of the 49 states in the US sue Microsoft so they have to pay up to 52.8 billion dollars in settlement instead?
Have you guys read the EULA you have to agree when installing Mac OS X? It says that you can't use it in anyway in connection to flight controls or nuclear facilities, or any form of weapon of mass destruction. So much for putting Macs in to the coolest agencies...
Why are companies investing millions and millions of dollars on research on things like this instead of just making easier software to use? It's like inventing a special gizmo to turn your computer off when all you need to do is to unplug the cable.
As if being homeless and unemployed wasn't bad enough. Now they're being tracked just like animals. Why not put all those millions and millions of dollar in to projects to give them jobs and housing instead?
Will this be the first Simpson game that won't suck since that Beat-them-up Arcade game from the early nineties?
I can't believe that both Star Wars and the Simpsons, two world wide respected titles, have so many shitty games under their belt it's embarrassing. Why won't they stop making those games?
Funny... People have been saying that since the beginning of the nineties... Yet Apple revolutionize again and again, and show better prosper than ever. This year we got the Music Store, the Power Mac G5, the 17" Powerbook, the new iPods... Apple and Dell are the only companies in the same industry that show profits right now.
Is Apple dead?
Not by a long shot...
Steve Jobs said that it's the year of the notebook

How the hell is Apple going to top the PowerMac G5 with the Notebooks? I hardly think that the current Powerbooks top the G5 in coolness at all. However I do know that they haven't been upgraded in a while. But what can they get, really? It will probably be the typical and standard improved revision like aways: additional 300mhz speedbump and a bigger harddrive -- disappointing!
Year of the notebook, year of the scmotebook... Where are thou?
Apple cripple it's hardware all the time... They do this on the iBooks. They've crippled the graphics cards so you can't desktop span with a second screen -- this is to try to lure the sales over to those who need it on to the Powebooks. Sad but true, yes.
..the IT department shouldn't be the people who decide what computers to buy. Hell, if I happened to work at an IT department I'd always buy the shittiest piece of shit there was on the market, just to give me some extra dough whenever available. If people complain you can just go "OK, that wasn't a good decision. I am not to blame: those who made the hardware and software are to blame!" and I move the company to slightly better products. I know, I'd probably be fired. There are probably a lot of people who do this and don't get fired.
I don't have a Powerbook, I have an iBook. So far AppleCare seems to be a hefty requirement if I am supposed to continue to be able to use this computer in the near future without going bankrupt on continuous repairs.
1. Harddrive broke down. Mailed it in to Apple, they sent it back. I thought the iBook was fine but it turned out to be still broken. 2. Sent it down to Holland and got a replacement iBook. 3. Harddrive broke down again a couple of months later. Got it replaced at a local shop after two weeks of waiting. 4. Harddrive broke down yet a third time! Got it replaced with in days. 5. Months after that the motherboard died! The screen started to become whacky and the local repair shop fixed it. 6. Had to return it once again to the shop because it showed up to be that the audio out jack was bad. 7. I'm about to return it a seventh time because it turned out that the replacement iBook I got back from Holland had some weird shit placed inside of the screen, causing a disturbing crack on the edge -- didn't notice it at first, but I'm doing it now because it's growing as time pass by.
Is AppleCare worth it? Yeah. If I need to take my iBook to the shop seven times a year, AppleCare could probably save me possibly thousands and thousands of dollars.
My dad lives in the United States and I live in Sweden. While he was sleeping once I downloaded his entire iTunes Music Library to see what music he had on his iMac. It turned out to be that about three songs from the Music Store. Fortunately I knew his password and account name so I typed them in -- lo and behold, the authorization worked!
Don't know why this guy is complaining. He said he's changed his creditcard location then it's quite obvious why the songs didn't work.
Somebody tell him that people breath air and that Canada and the US is a different country?
I don't know if it's possible, but can Apple sue Buymusic.com for basically stealing their commercials? I'm no lawyer, but what I know is that Apple have lots and lots of triggerhappy lawyers...
Ironic that BuyMusic.com launch themselves as an alternative to buying music legally, then they steal their competitors commercials.
Websites report that AM2 confirms Shenmue III will be released, but not where, when or on what.
When reading that, I found that it summed up the current state of the gaming industry pretty accurately: Nobody knows anything anymore. Not even themselves.
Golden Eye is still the best game-movie (movie-game?) made, ever. It's amazing how well Rare Ware hit the nail when it came to fun factor in the game. I've always tried to figure out what made the game so fun, but I've never found out. I mean, by todays standards the game is so limiting! No jumping, small levels, little interaction... What could possibly make the game fun? Was it the "realistic" weapons? I tried Perfect Dark, but it just didn't appeal to me for some reason. I guess much of the fun had to do with James Bond himself... and the music of course!
Jesus Christ, do you think that the U.S. Government really gives a fuck about where your Trek Madone 5.9 or your limited edition X-Men #500 with the supermegaholographic RealPlatinum(TM) has run off to?
This gave me a splendid idea!

That should take care of 'em! Bwhahaahhahah!
Isn't this the first time ever that an online petition has been taken seriously?
Here is an animation that describe of what I think of the Steam service so far...
Anyone know how bigchampagne works? What does it do? Hack other computers and see what they have on their to-do download list?
Have you guys read the EULA you have to agree when installing Mac OS X? It says that you can't use it in anyway in connection to flight controls or nuclear facilities, or any form of weapon of mass destruction. So much for putting Macs in to the coolest agencies...
:)
Seems to me that the reason why the Navy used Linux on their newly acquired Xserves were because they couldn't use Mac OS X without violating the contract!
Oh, but maybe you think this maybe be the reason to all this?
Or maybe it's because the government wants to become "hip" again?
My mom is going to sue the porn industry because I became a rapist.
No. I'm not really a rapist. But the analogy is the same, right?
...link Child pornography to Spam instead?

Sometimes humanity worry me.

Women get diamond rings. Men get diamond processors. Sounds fine to me!
Why go to Mars when you've got Rekall?
>... and about those lobotomies, statistics show that it's safer to use Rekall than to travel to the red planet itself.
I'm delightfully interested in that Agent-package... Hmm...
This story was posted right after "Games As A Multitasking Aid?"
Ehm... If games help multitask, then these petty thefts wouldn't exist?

Why aren't we looking at it at the other way and asking why Windows isn't playing well with Linux?

Finally, the day has come! All it took was a bit of competition for Microsoft to make their products better! Long live market economy!
