Thank god, the most hyped game finally gets released, now I can finally get past this and see some really pertinent advertising, maybe for Depends, or maybe some tampon advertising, or maybe the next overpriced pile o' garbage from some dumb arsed company that relies on the masses of less intelligent beings to help pay for their new vacation island purchase, etc.......
Your forgetting one major important fact here. If you are using the Jamming device, what is it that is going to see this and target your Device? because your jamming the satellite that would otherwise see the rather large spot that a Jammer would exhibit upon activation. All the enemy will see is static, as there is nothing coming in from their advanced warning systems other then it has crashed and is no longer working.
Which if your an enemy and know that the USA has this ability, then you had better run and find some deep cover because the bombs will soon be raining down soon.
You can get this "Fiber to the premises" only if you have Verizon phone line. (BTW it is only available in about 4 areas right now).
So it would be $39.95, $49.95, Etc + $20-50 for the phone service whatever the cost may be.
For those of us who no longer have a land line to the house because of either piss poor service, or just no need for a home land line (Cell phone cheaper and always with you) this is a really poor deal, the sales rep told me that you need a phone line, but could not explain sufficiently the reason why you would need a phone if you are having fiber run to your house for broadband service, other then "you must have a Verizon phone service specifically to get the Fiber Optics" so over all, the advertised price is not the true price.
p.s. the reason I got rid of my qwest DSL/phone service, was because of extremely poor service, extremely rude customer reps, low bandwidth 640kbps/256kbps/cost $99.99(w/phone service required) vs. cable in my area 3Mbps/256kbps(min)/cost $49.99 (no other service required). Granted, Cable in some areas is extremely unreliable due to high user count on the node, my area though I am the only user on my node (lots of elderly who do not use broadband).
Give them cheap PC's, Yeah that will stop them from stealing software to use.
Cheaper PC's = More people needing an OS, which of course they will get from one of their friends who just happens to have access to one of those Pirated versions, or they will buy that extremely crippled version from microsoft for $35.00, "Let me see, Free or $35.00, Ah hell, we don't need to eat this summer, lets get that Crippled OS version."
Oh and BTW, you get an F for your final exam and are going to flunk out. The answers may not matter to you, but they sure as hell matter to those in charge!

There is a quad card that can do MPEG video on up to 4 monitors at a time. The card cost like 1500.00+ But at the last trade show I was at, Matrox had a Quad card being made that was half that price.
Another solution. 1 Video output total, going into a scaler or video splitter box , Google for Kramer or Extron (the only 2 vendors I can recall off the top of my head)

Ok, so far I have not seen anything said about this.
First off, if another civilization were looking to detect our radio waves, which travel at the speed of light, and they live 150 light years away (just a number for the sake of arguement) they would not be receiving anything from us for a while, since we have only been broadcasting for less then 100 years, vice versa, anything we look at from our POV would be as old as it is far away, so if we thought a system had a potential planet with life, and it is 200 light years away, they would have to have started sending out signals 200 years ago, and in 200 years, they could either have blown themselves to smithereens, or become advanced enough to possibly travel out into space.
Now imagine a race that is several thousand years more advanced, would you want our petty squabbling to be out and about in the galaxy spreading war and fighting? Not to even mention the fact that some Humans go out of their way to blow themselves up just to kill a bunch of other people? Would you want that coming around your Civilization? some Fanatic decides that your race is evil (in their eyes) and takes a ship and destroys one of your planets with it.
Now as has been stated earlier in other posts,when you search for something specific, and you find that specific thing, how do you jump to a conclusion that you didn't find something else so therefore it does not exist? Thats like saying you went to the store to find some crackers, but you didn't see any cheese in the cracker isle, so cheese must not exist.

As stated in the other post, Daemon tools works as a virtual DVD drive, but there are several others out there like that also, Alcohol 120% comes to mind.
I also would like to find a menu style program that could load a DVD image onto a virtual drive and then play it from a menu selected item. My current setup is working for me, but its not a smooth operation, I have 1 Terabyte of storage (spread out over a network) which is mostly movies in various forms, MPEG, AVI, VOB, ISO, IMG, etc, due to my testing of various software and backing up my DVD collection (which is currently at over 200 DVD's), and my own personal theater (107" screen, DTS sound system)

Ignore it, I recently purchased a NAT/FIREWALL Switch for security purposes, because I used to have DSL as my main connection, and comcast cable as a DL/backup connection, I finally got tired of Qwest's "Customer Service" and told them where they can stick their phone and DSL service. At the time I only had a 8 port Hub which was used for the DSL service, but when I went to Cable I was not wanting to put a Software firewall on every machine. So I was on with a hub for a few days until I got the NAT/FIREWALL.
