My wife and I are employed at the same company... Does that mean I don't have to talk to her anymore afterwork? Thank you NLRB!!! I'm soooo shot-gunning two beers tonight and watching ESPN.
Landing in a space shuttle where you can pull the filler out by hand (like it were bathroom tile grout?) Scary.
Rather than using tiles wouldn't it be better to use some sort of spray adhesive that does the same thing?
I don't know about you, but for me one of the best features for Google is how quickly it loads. For MS to grab my vote they're going to have to simplify their site. The last thing I want when I boot up my browser is for it to spend more than a couple seconds loading my home page
It's true that Deep Throat was initially an anonymous source, but later on Nixon and others had strong suspicions it was Woodward. Still they could do absolutely nothing about it, except sit and wonder if he'd reveal everything. For a great read checkout http://www.thenation.com/doc.mhtml?i=20050704&s=go ldberg
I think it behooves all parties to expedite this as quickly as possible. I wouldn't anticipate any delays/ problems in submitting this proposal. Sounds like they're already on the same page.
hehe that's cool. I didn't mean anything derogatory about the comment. hope you didn't take offense to it:) I just thought it was funny they had a couple names which could be misconstrued to be sexual in nature lol.
"...from a company that seems to have squandered all of its money... and now seems to play the U.S. legal system like a lottery..." Linus Torvalds. This is just a weak attempt from them, trying to justify their existence. I personally hope it fails badly.
Hey, Genius... People want to make love, not make install, got it?
If you should dropped your linear thought process for a while you would see the reason my so-called Windows(tm) games ARE Windows(tm) games is because until Linux gets a bigger user-base companies won't make jack$hit if they try to sell a Linux version of their game/app. Newsflash buddy, the world revolves around money and if its not there it ain't gonna happen.
How hard is it to make an operating system where someone can double-click instead of going through a myriad of steps to install a basic friggin program?
The sad thing is Linux is doing this to itself and until things change it's going to continue to be the ever-striving underdog who will never compete against Windows as an alternative OS for the majority.
Unfortunately the Windows programs I want to use are the games like Everquest 2, World of Warcraft, Battlefield 2, etc. Xandros is nifty and allows you to run a lot of Windows progy's, but I think a fair chunk of people fall in the same group as me.
Linux should focus more on becoming user-friendly so it gets a bigger customer base, this would inspire more developers to include a Linux version of the more popular games/ apps. My 2cents.
I have no idea about the legalities in question, but I can offer you some insight to my observations at a local Coffeeshop.
The owner initially set-up a "pay as you go" internet connection, where you could either use his computers, or he'd give you a temporary username/ password to access his wireless router. Initially, this worked well for him, as he was the first Coffeeshop in the area to offer internet access. As time went on and other Coffeeshop's started to offer "free" internet (to draw in people), I noticed the volume of people diminished. At that point he made the decision to offer "free" internet for those with wireless laptops, yet continued to charge if you opted to use his computers. I personally feel with all the free WiFi Access Points you're going to have a hard time finding someone who will pay.
One thing to keep in mind if you decide to offer "free" internet is you're going to get people who campout on their laptops and take up table space for hours at a time. Some people even stay there all damn day like it's their personal office space. This might lend itself to loss of business from patrons just wanting a quick cappuccino or dessert and having no seats available. I'd make sure to designate certain tables with time limits or as "No Internet." Good luck!
WBM works great for pulling up historical text content, but I've noticed it tends to be hit-and-miss with images. Try pulling up a website and chances are you'll see broken image links.

It also collects a levy on blank audio such as CDs and mini-discs.
Who the hell are they giving tariff royalties to from blank media? That's asinine. The CPCC are just like our RIAA, all a pack of crooks. If you want royalties to go to the Artists, than lower the damn price of the music your sell and people might actually buy a CD. Inflating the price of a CD to pay for the CPCC/ RIAA Rats, who claim to "protect" Artists is wrong! I'm curious how much of these collected tariffs actually makes its way back to the Artists.
Of course kids are going to love instant gratification through real-time instant messaging as opposed to email. Until they grow up and find themselves in business situations where they're going to need to coordinate meetings, share presentations/comments and work with peers/partners who live in different time zones there simply isn't a need for them to use email. Can you imagine logging in and finding your desktop covered with IM pop-ups from customers and colleagues? It's just not practical in the business arena to use IM as the only means of communication.
This whole concept scares me. It's ramifications could extend well beyond assisting with finding bodies. I for one don't want the government tracking my every move. Talk about losing civil rights.

No, but I'm sure Ford or Chevy do for their truck liners.
Seroiusly though, these tiles are a marvel of science I know, but they're just not cutting the mustard.

you're entirely correct, sorry I had a brainfreeze.

Again, Thank you Gary! You are the eternal hero who inadvertently made the US take a closer look at their computer security (or lack thereof).
Email - You could then grab a gmail or yahoo account (giving a ficticious name.)
Instant Messaging and File Sharing - You can use WASTE (RSA secured). More info can be found at: http://waste.sourceforge.net/ Hope that helps.

thanks, yeah it's funny if you post anything controversial in nature you're immediately flagged as a troublemaker. oh well :)
take it easy
There must be a wacky ass doctor who came up with Worm and Trojan. Sounds more like a gnarly pron

Troll? Mods go ahead and shove your heads back in the sand. Looks like the Linux police have been saving their mod-points up.
