I have not had the chance to look into these social networks but they sound interesting and may be beneficial to me.
I'm a little different then most of you. I'm staring square into the dubble barrel shotgun of 40 years old. Got a wife and 2 little kids and a more then full time job. Try meeting people with similar interests. There is no time. All our (family) social interaction is spent trying to find similar families so that we can all socialize meaning they must have at least one kid and I need to get along with the husband and my wife with the other wife.
What then are the odds that this person also has an interest in computers and gadgets and motorcycles ?
What about those of us just looking for friends not dates ? Do we count ?

What I hated about law was arguing all day everyday. With other lawyers, prosecutors, judges and clients. It's non-stop.
Now I just shut off the computer if it pisses me off.

I can't wait till someone sues the state for manslaughter over this stupid possible law.
"Honey, your heart attack will have to wait. The car is processing my breath. THEN we can go to the hospital."
or
"Honey, squeeze those legs together. You can't have the baby until I breathe into the car."
Wow, it doesn't get any stupider. I would rather have a drive and chat on cell phone test to get your license then this.

Oh my. A real life Mine Sweeper game. Thousands of flowers and only some are red. Which adjoing flower is sitting on top of a land mine.
Did Microsoft patent Minesweeper ? If so, do we now have leave all the land mines where they lie ?
Lou Sir
Wow, a dream come true. Now the local screaming idiot used car salesman can sound crystal clear. I may even be able to hear the disclaimer at the end of the ad. That's good, right ?
I remember getting the Estes Saturn V kit around 1971. Not detailed ? How about cutting long balsa rods exactly to spec then gluing them together to form that steel lattice work at the top of the rocket. That's detail. I never managed to complete it cause it had about 841,231 pieces. It also took about $5 in engines which in 1971 was a lot of money for a kid.

Like him or not he's pretty popular but not one song on I-tunes. I haven't looked around that much yet but is there really that much content ?

I find this very interesting. I showed it to my 7 year old (very advanced reader) thinking she would not be able to read it because she would go to slow and try to read each letter because she was so young. It turns out she read it as well as I did. Even young children appear to be able to look at the words instead of read them.
When she was in pre-school they had words on the board they called "sight words". Words that you should know by sight instead of reading. Like the, it, that, she etc.. I guess this is the way we end up reading as we get used to the word patterns.
What did your children do ?
LouSir
What a great topic. Almost 20 years ago I did everything I could to just get through calculus. Now, I have no idea what it even is at all. Nothing. I might as well have never taken it.
But, as I grow older and wiser, or just older, I feel the need to learn this as well as some basic chem and physics. I think I will take a look at some of these books.
Thanks,
Lou Sir
Even if you get past the browser issue who in the world is gonna pay for a cripled song ? If it's not in mp3 (at least) it's absolutely worthless. Nice try but I ain't bitin yet.

If these dirt bags decide to start sending snail mail I'm sure they will include postage paid return envelopes. You know, the envelopes that you don't need to put a stamp on if you send them a check or subscribe to their crappy services.
Well, just send the envelope back to them empty or with whatever you wish to enclose in it. They end up paying the postage. That should end the snail mail pretty quickly.

The sad part is will we never know the truth. We are all taking a side based on whichever lie sounds better. One we can identify with.
The truth is probably part of both stories. But, we'll never know which.
Commence arguing.

I was at dinner the other nite talking to the prosecutor on this case, Mr. Horowitz. He's a good guy.
I don't see this as very big brother'ish. It's not much different then a radar gun. I don't think you have an expectation of privacy as to the speed of your vehicle. Anyone doing the speed limit would know your going to fast.

I hated being a lawyer (insert joke here) and went into IT. Making pretty good money and wouldn't go back to law for triple the money. LouSir

And how exactly would this help are boys on the wrong end of a bullet or car bomb ? Lou Sir
