The big deal is it takes the best concepts throughout gaming history and combines them in one infinitely open ended experience. This game is going to set a new standard for user creation in a game, thanks to its use of procedural....everything!
Whenever i make a delivery for work, its usualy in the afternoon, and on the 91, looots of traffic. So i work my way to the 5 and head south a bit, spend a couple of hours at disneyland, then head home in very little traffic:D
Ive always found the networking and sysadmin aspect of computers to be far more interesting than programming. when i was in HS i was responsible for any macintosh troubles that came up on campus, because there were only 3 labs that used them and the techs wouldnt touch them. i got to work with my own little networks and even now 2 years after graduation i still get called in to help with mac stuff. right now i have an entire lab netbooting off the server so the students can both use the full 30GB of space on each eMac for video, and so they cant fark up the systems. im going to apply for a job there in june, hopefully full time. ive got a few teachers who will put in a good word for me with the district.
This is stupid, realy. There are so many realy good star trek books that could be turned into movies its not even funny. Paramount should start working with people like peter david and christie golden and come up with a movie that realy kicks ass.
Stop announcing when you plan on releasing software. Follow the Carmack Model and tell everyone Office/Windows/Etc will be done when its done.
I'd rather have working software instead of a beta that got rushed out in time for xmas.
If the publishers and content produces for MMO's are going to stick advertising in games, then I have no problem continuing to pay my monthly fee so long as the revenue from said advertising is used to improve the game im playing. Less downtime should be a top priority for both sides because downtime = less advert money. More content in general would also be nice. More places for that advertising to go i figure. You have to remember that disneyland is like the real life equivelent for an MMO, and in addition to your entrance fee, many of the E Ticket rides have corporate sponsors, which is totaly cool because it means the ride is better than it otherwise would have been. As long as the big wigs at the publishing companies arent just fattening their wallets, im cool with in-game advertising.
Put the guy who does the Circle of Thorns indoor missions in charge of ever indoor mission. Those massive aztecan underground maps are some of the most striking and beautiful in the game.

If anyone knows the where abouts of one Tolian Soran UFP Security is looking for him in connection with the artificial supernova 1987A. Soran is considered armed and dangerous and may be responsible for previous supernova, which can only be caused by external electrical forces directed at stars, and not their own gravity.

Myst any of them will provide a great mental challenge. while it wont teach students facts, it helps develop problem solving and analytical skills. The best for the classroom would have to by Myst3:Exile by Presto Studios, its not too difficult and looks wonderful.

Consider this, going back in time may be likened to moving back down the tree, and when you change something, a new branch forms and you start moving along that, parallel to the old branch. now your stuck in the new branch. The implication here is that nothing you do to alter time will truly alter time, it will just launch you along a new limb of the tree. You arent changing the past, your creating a new future.
