Was it just me, or did the parasites make the most awesome gobbling noise? I would pay for a ringtone of that. I mean, I'll make my own in audacity as soon as I have a copy of the sound, but I would pay for it if I could today.

The black box was going to retail for $39.99, so as far as I'm concerned, I'm paying valve $10 for the privilege of giving the older games away to a friend, and thats some straight up bullshit right there. As soon as the courts make it firm and clear that valve's policy against selling the "gift games" is not legal, thats what I'm doing.
this is way off topic, but ive been curious: quite often, a story will have tags on it that are almost nonsensical, and it seems unlikely that they even show up unless a lot of people are tagging the story with the same weird tags. Now how are people doing this? is there some group out there gaming the system or what?
RolandDGA sells their ink for about $130 for a half liter. If he doesnt mind cutting his own paper, thats the cheapest ink ive ever seen. Downside of course is the printers start at $13,000:p
You dont play many MMO's do you? Have you stopped to consider the suck that would come from teaming with someone who has never played a warrior before and all of sudden has all these abilities and powers and no idea how to use them effectively?
I got comcasts dual tuner hdtv dvr back when they first started offering the whole digital cable thing. My parents weren't so hip on technology and waited to long. they were lucky enough to get a single tuner hdtv tuner, and have been waiting for over a year for a dual tuner dvr that is never coming it seems.
Now only half the original entrants remain. This whole thing is going to seriously hurt whatever reputation slamdance had and hoped to have in the future.
Ive been wondering, what will happen to the people who bought from him? Will they be required to return what they bought to the original owners? Will they be tracked down by the police for recieving stolen goods?
Our legs might be way longer than our arms, but from the butt to the knee is just the right length for some serious wall crawling. With an entire body suit of the stuff you could for example use an entire arm to hang climb up instead of just your hands and feet.
The Plaintiffs claim that Microsoft harmed Class Members by illegally overcharging for its software, by denying Class Members free choice in software products and the benefits of software innovation, and by making computers increasingly susceptible to security breaches.
This is crap right here. It realy sounds like a bunch of people who know *nothing* about computers are suing because their own ignorance angers them. First off, how the hell can it be illegal to overcharge for a product? Isnt the point of a free market that you can charge whatever the market will bare? Will they be suing disneyland next for selling three dollar sodas? Second, ive never had a problem installing any software onto my computer, whether im using Windows or Linux. At no point has windows ever actively prevented me from installing whatever software I wanted to. Anyone willing to shell out $40 at best buy or compusa can pick up a packaged linux distro and load it onto their machine no problem. I realy hope microsoft uses OpenOffice as an example of a FREE and open alternative to their software that anyone on the planet can use. Are these iowans going to force microsoft to bundle OOo with their own office suite? Finaly, isnt the fact that microsoft keeps on publishing patches a clear sign that, as crappy an OS as windows might be, they are trying to fix it? As paranoid as Vista is, to the point of annoying me, I strongly dissagree that microsoft is making computers less secure. Im reading through the list of complaints, and one of them is, in summary, that Windows is a crappy, bug-ladden, bloated cow of an OS. Clearly these people dont know what a Macintosh is, and have never heard of any *nix OS. Does this lawsuit have any ground at all? I never liked these suits against microsoft for the simple fact that no one has *ever* been forced to use microsoft windows. these people chose to buy a computer with windows on it, they chose to not use an alternative operating system, and they shouldnt win this suit. Caveat Emptor
I can count the number of windows reinstalls ive done on my personal machine in the last 4 years on one finger. I've used PMagic to copy my install partition from a 30gig to a 60 gig to a 120 gig as i needed more space. Until a week ago I had never needed to reload windows, then something spazzed out and I reinstalled on a new drive, start fresh and all that.
The self checkout is there for those of us buying a 12 pack of beer or soda, or a box of cereal, and don't want to wait for Granny McSlow to unload her month supply of cat food. Every time I have used the self checkout it is because I had zereo desire to wait behind anyone to purchase my one or two items.
Someone needs to beet you and your supporters with an obvious stick.
Im still on SP1, i run a tight ship and have never had a problem with spyware or virii. My questions is, does microsoft have some way of forcing this on me or has the fact that i stopped using windows update over a year ago saved me?
I think that space shifting definately applies to a TV broadcast since your converting it from real-time analouge to a compressed digital file. Because you know have permanent access to the file and may view in whenever you wish, it is thus time shifted.
6 Movies, which is more than most "movie scientists". i dont think any scientist has ever had as much air time as Spock.
Maybe The Doctor, but what kind of Doctor is he?
So you're going to do a remake of Signs?

Too much Civ4 methinks
The Iris mod installer is skipping every file and not unpacking. any thoughts?

The article seems to say nothing of why these should never be used? Could anyone clear this up?
Two words
Knee

But it isnt microsoft that forces anyone into anything. Its the companies making software exclusively for Windows OS that do that.
Its not because the games were better, its because Nintendo finaly relised they were losing out on making money from the Emulator crowd.

I can't believe that the slashdot crowd hasnt even mentioned Myst, which is going to make a comeback via GameTap

All thirteen episodes will come in a suppository!
Didnt the betamax case grant everyone the right to do exactly what this treaty is outlawing?
