This is the main reason I block ads. Not because the graphics annoy me. Just because I hate waiting for the 8 ads on the page to load even though the main content has been served. I figure by blocking the ads I am doing a service to the ad company by reducing their bandwidth costs so they can be better utilized for people that enjoy clicking on ads.
Maybe if we all turned our ad blockers off for a day we could crash the ad servers due to the new high load?:)
Not only should they not have used 2L as an abbreviation for Second Life but 2L in regards to Second Life usually means 2 Linden Dollars... that made it a tad confusing for me for a bit.
If you type a space after your ellipse is finished, it switches back to [ABC] automatically. So I'm not sure if even the 5th button press is needed.
On a side note, I rarely type apostrophes on my iPhone. The auto correct often inserts them into words for me. Typing "we'll" needs one because "well" is also a word but most of your words like "couldn't" and "shouldn't" auto correct to include it.
Wow really, so you still watch the CareBears too? You don't think it was violent to dump a living being (deemed "evil", by the book that came with the game) into a pool of lava? Hmm.
No I don't watch the Care Bears. But that wasn't my point. My point was that growing older does not equal an increased need for violence. I'm not sure what you're talking about with the lava and such as I don't think I've ever played a Care Bears game and I don't remember the cartoon much.
There is a difference between a cartoon character falling into a cartoon lava pit vs a realistic looking person killing another realistic person in extreme and personal ways. Pushing a cartoon guy into a lava pit and having him hover over it for a split second knowing his fate while moving his arms in cartoon style is much less violent than sticking a gun down a realistic looking persons throat and whispering to them what you're going to do to their family before you pull the trigger. That's why the game is rated AO instead of something else.
My main point again though being, increased again does not equate to needing an increase in violence as you seemed to state by saying that you wanted your games to grow up with you. Cartoon violence can be fun if not more fun than realistic violence even at an older age. I'm not against Man Hunt 2 being published. I even think it should be sold in stores so that adults can purchase it if they want. If it's genuinely a good game I might even purchase it. But just because "zomg you can totally like kill this guy by maiming him for hours on end my smashing B over and over" doesn't mean it'll be worth an adults time to play it. I would hope most grown ups would want to play a game based on if it is fun or not as opposed to if you can move the gore slider to 11.
As I grow up I didn't stop saving the princess and start killing people in brutal ways. Just because my age changes doesn't mean I want more violence in my life.
I'm not saying they shouldn't publish the game at all... Publish away, I don't have to buy it. I just don't think the majority of adults even really care about AO games.
You're certainly right that Dell has more options than Apple... the only problem is that when I got to Dell's site I feel like I need a little pop-up Xzibit to "Pimp My Computer". Dell has more options but it's easier to order a computer from Apple due to the lack of options. Most people say "Should I get a MacBook or a MacBook Pro?" instead of "Should I get an Inspiron N24312, Latitude A*953, blah blah blah?" I find it much easier to recommend Apple computers to people because of this. Granted most of them go buy a Dell anyway but at least then I can avoid playing tech support.;)
Most of the options once you pick out the model of Dell laptop that you want are similar to Apple. Dell just has a plethora of other options like extra software, printers, warranties, random accessories, etc.
So in short, you're right but I see it as a good thing.
You can but it doesn't work still. If they only watch half the movie or fast forward/rewind then you have to wait for somebody else to watch the same movie and watch the missing parts... then you have to clip em all together... if you can afford the insane amount of DVR's it would take to store all that video... just buy the movies.
I have the same thing going on with my TV. At first you think, "Wow! Free VOD!" but then you realize you have no clue when a show starts, no way to unpause if the real viewer gets a phone call or goes to the bathroom, and well... it's pointless. You end up flipping through a good 50 channels for hours having literally no clue what shows are on and no clue if that person will finish them.
It sounds neat but it's rather boring and partially stinks since you have to manually program those channels out. I mentioned this happening when the cable guy stopped buy and he seemed pretty "meh" about it.
I really enjoyed LOTRO (Mac Pro with Boot Camp to XP) but after my first month I simply got tired of rebooting... so I canceled LOTRO. Not because it's a bad game, but just because I'm that lazy. Had their been a Mac port I would've kept on playing.
I have little expectation for developers to cater to the Mac market still... I wish they would but I don't blame them either at the moment.
Back when I was their age, we stood up against the bleachers at all dances... AND WE LIKED IT. Kinda. If only Susy would've talked to me... just once. *cry*
I know some (myself included) are wary of just running it 24/7. It'd be nice to have an option to have it do one WU then shut the PS3 off. My first PS3 locked up after a few days of folding and I had to exchange it. Now I'm wary of folding for more than a day or two without powering it down. Probably just a bum PS3 in the first place but... yeah.
Why not preloaded like Steam does with games, only to unlock at the appropriate time in your time zone so you can watch it with people that have cable? That's where this should (and probably is) headed.
I know for some people it's not the fact that there is "no end" but rather they enjoy the online friendships they create and log in just to talk to their online friends. I know I've logged in just to ask a friend how their surgery went, if they had their baby yet, how their day at work was, etc and not even step foot out of the main city area.
Some people just use MMO's as a glorified chat client too with leveling as a side part of it.
Clearly just another slap in the casual players face. The only way to get these items is if you're in a large raiding guild and help each other out.
(in all seriousness it is rather steep... 250 boosters packs for fireworks or 500 boosters for an ogre costume? at least make some of the codes worth more than 100 points at random...)

I just have one question...
Where in the world in Carmen Sandiego?

At 8 AM today, someone poisons the coffee. Do NOT drink the coffee. More instructions will follow.
Cordially, Future Dwight.

Time to start the injections of the happy drug!
It's mostly there so you know what weather your friends had to endure to come over to your place to play the Wii since they don't have one yet.

I avoid radiation at all costs. Most of the time I sit safely in front of this CRT screen here reading Slashdot.
Whoever owns the rights to the Batman song should be filing suit any minute now... take the dolphins for all the tuna they have.

Has any thought been given to Mac OS X and Linux versions?
Rosencrantz: I don't believe in it anyway.
Guildenstern: What?
Rosencrantz: England.
Guildenstern: Just a conspiracy of cartographers, then?
