"U.S. companies will need to keep track of all the e-mails, instant messages and other electronic documents generated by their employees thanks to new federal rules that go into effect Friday, legal experts say."
I'm curious as to how this effects my company as it is private not a publicly traded company. The article makes it sound like it applies to all companies however. The article mentions no name of the law or rules or where you can find the official rules. Does anyone know where this information might be hiding?
Is load time really that important? Look at the PS1 whos load times were absolutely horrible and they sold how many? Since the Wii is basically GameCube x2 I'm not worried about load times. There were only a few games that had some bad loadtimes though I can't even recall the name of one. Of course the GC did use different media. Even still Nintendo has always been conscious of load times so I'm sure they are fine. I am very much looking forward to the Wii and playing Zelda soon:)
I would agree too except Nintendo is trying to appeal to everyone this time:) If that link doesn't work this is where I found it the first time. http://www.macspoofs.com/2006/08/10/ps3-vs-wii/
Wow that's an understatement what a worthless article. As an avid MMO player since EQ1 this is NOT an MMO mouse. I went to manufacture site since the article had no information and read why it was an MMO mouse. Because it was high resolution and "always on". That sounds more FPS than MMO, the thing only has 3 freaking buttons! It's not even wireless! I will stick with my Logitech MX-1000 thank you...Best mouse I've ever owned.
One of my all time favorite games. Has a very intrenching story, great sound, graphics and gameplay. Man this makes me want to pull that puppy out and play it for a 4th time.
Um both Aple and Nintendo are VERY sercretive. Nintendo is known to hype, but Apple? Common Apple won't even show you something exists till you can practically buy it.
Microsoft on the other hands middle name is Hype...
I've always wondered what the WoW server run on, where did you get this information? Do you know what OS and DB software they run? I've heard Oracle throw around in the beta days but I've never heard anything definitive.
What bugs me the most is the inconsistency in which they apply the rules. It seems like I run into dumbasses all the time with offending or lame names. Yet I always read the story about the GM who took someones name that was barely in violation of the name rule.
Tehnically you don't have a title in your name. cmdr is not a title, it doesn't even contain any vouls. I also complete agree that with what little power a GM has they seem to wield is with impunity. You have no recourse what so ever.
I enjoy WoW quite a bit, I'm even going to Blizcon Friday. Sometimes though they make me crazy:)
That was wonderful:) I thought of the exact same thing when I read it at first.
This has been a great season I must say, I do hope they continue:) They can feel free to discontinue Atlantis if they need to however.
Sony and Microsoft may be able to afford throwing away that kind of money but Nintendo never has.
I still think Nintendo may end up on top this time, maybe not on top of the Hype, but in terms of market penetration, and profit.
WoW has continued to add content for free, though I'm sure not at the rate everyone wants. WoW however is the most enjoyable MMORPG I have played to date and plan to continue to play it long into the future.
It will be interesting to see what Blizzard does come up with when they finally do an expansion!
I have an original Dual 2Ghz G5 and though it has more than enough power for me I would have strong urges to get a new one if they realeased a Dual Dual Core G5 just so I could say I had a Quad Processor Desktop:)
Nintendo doesn't rush, they have been working on Revolution for quite some time and indicated it would be at this E3.
They also mentioned at the last E3 that they do not consider Microsoft competition, and they will beat or meet the PS3 to market.
They actually took quite a few shots at M$ and Sony last E3. It was nice to see Nintendo taking the gloves off after taking a beating for some many years.
I will be quite interested to see the what makes the Revolution so revolutionary:)
Simultaneous Mac and PC version launches are nothing new from Blizzard. They know Mac users have tons of spendable cash and like polished software
Thats a good point I never thought of. Why do so many people ignore a market that obviously has lots of money? I'm surprised more people don't follow Blizzards simulantious development strategy and get Mac market. I wonder what it takes to write a game for the PC and Mac at the same time? I'm guessing at least half of the code must be shared? Wish more people did it.
I'm currently playing WoW: Collectors Edition on my Dual 2Ghz G5 and 20" Apple Cinema Display:)
Given the anounced price and the speculative pricing I guess Sony decided to take a hefty loss on the hardware. Either that or they found some really creative ways to cut costs.
No the Xbox only became successful because M$ threw hundreds of millions of dollars at it till it had some sort of success. This included taking huge losses on hardware, buying up game companies and pouring the money into advertising.
Devmage

Inversely, of course.
Well then that would make the Amiga the most productive operating system!
I always felt it was the best, though I finally had to give it up and move on. OSX would be second on my list.
