    current helpdesk metrics indicate that 1 tech with a well run management system can handle 320 PC's.

    I tried using this company- they made me prepay and then all of these useless coders bid on my project, none of these guys have any experience or certs. so I canceled, big hassle with that, and on top of it they kept my credit card info on file forever, you cannot get them to get rid of it. I changed my CC number and have never looked back at this cr*ppy service.

    it really boils down to the fact that- these things are distractions and who wants to write about games.

    Would it still be mind blowingly interesting and a timely comment if hunter wrote about the game operation, and critiqued it? No. Would an baseball game on a online role playing game ever make sports news? NO. Never. Why? Because when you shut of the computer or the internet breaks down. You are still you, and most likely you are alone. There are no collective consciences that will be meaningful in real life learnt from an online game experience.

    I sold my Z after having previously owned a ipaq- there is no compairason. MS reader kicks ass on PDF or text on a PDA. Plain out none of these OS's are near perfect but for certien things the MS pda is the way to go. I like the clear type text and the feel of everything and dont want to get a command line. But I have to say wireless is easy with OpenZ

    I have done it all and have come to the conclusion that investing is the best way for me.
    no to little overhead
    no office- location doesnt matter
    no employees to fire, layoff, fuck or yell at.
    no payroll
    no shipping
    no inventory
    no advertising
    no theft- well depends on what you invest in
    no recession- if the market sucks go to another one
    no cold calling-
    no prospecting
    no customers to hate or please
    you can do it anywhere
    no taxes- go offshore - you could still do this with a software company though
    no SCO

    It is just a great business- don't get me wrong, it's still not easy but after owning a couple of businesses and watching my friends bust their ass for pennys- forget it!

    Business wise- they are doing great- I am thinking of investing. But it came down to them not making money- and they gave it to Fedora that will continue with it. The bad part is that this is a huge step back for Linux as I believe driver support will start to shrink as the market looks more fragmented for the desktop market. On the other hand you could see a rise of debian- with the new installer and maybe we could see a slowdown of the RPM push

    when I was in e-comm all I got was customers asking for a e-comm store to tie into their backend- I called them in regards to this and they had no plans for it ever. That and the oracle dbase pretty much killed my intrest in this project.
