Thank you, the Grandparent is grossly ignorant. I have a six year old 900 Athlon that, according to all reports, would run Vista fine sans Aero-Glass. I see so many posts looking to tear down Vista for no reason, assuming that the heftier system requirements to run Aero-Glass are the minimum requirements for the system, they are not, the system will run in a more 98/XP look on much lower specs.

So yes the 360 is not as powerful as PS3, but it costthem half what it cost Sony to produce their machine, and who wants to bet that in another 4 years Microsoft will release another system (Xbox 720?) that will leapfrog PS3, just as the PS3 is finally becoming profitable for Sony

Really? It seems most developers and programmers, including John Carmack, believe the difference in computational and rendering power of the two systems is, for the most part, negligible. I suppose the Playstation 3 is still just blueprints, so it's hard to know, but it seems they've been squatting on the same specs for a year (maybe waiting for manufacturing prices to come down) so comparisons can probably be made. Plus, whenever John Carmack says soemthing about technology I usually take note.

OR.... you're placing $100 of your own money into a secure vault which you will collect when you turn 65 (or whatever). The issue of Social Security is always viewed as "I GOTTA GIV UP MAH DAMN MONEY TO SOMEONE ELSE?" and never "The government is taking my money and holding it so I don't blow it foolhardily in between now and when I am old". Obviously the money paid in now is being spent on current retirees, but it's not like you won't get checks yourself when you retire. It's too convinient to pose the issue of Social Security as a loaded question if you are opposed to it.

Oh wait a minute... that's exactly what it does :P Maybe I'm just over zealous after hearing the rhetoric from Senator Clinton and other anti gaming activists.

I guess I should ask this question then, What's the problem with this legislation? from the sound of it, it simply holds retailers accountable for following the rating system? Is there some dark, seedy part to this bill I'm not aware of, or do people just instantly get up in arms when the term Hillary/Liberman and videogames are posted together?

I'm not too keen on that rebuttal...
