it's the dot com bubble except a thousand times worse...
Having ridden the dot-com bubble to it's final, fatal fizzling "pop," I must confess that I find dubious any claim about mobile entertainment/WAP's being 10^x times worse.
"...the email system for a huge company, which fed up of Exchange, wants to replace their entire system..."
I think perhaps that a parenthetical rephrasing, such as,
"...a huge company (the subject), which, fed up with (not of) Exchange, wants to replace its (not their, as we want the possessive pronoun to match the subject) entire system..."
...might work better. Unfortunately, Mr. Language Pedant has no advice for your email woes. ^_^
Decent price for a GB audio player, cool form factor, evidently very portable... ^_^
However, I have serious doubts about the sound quality of the device. Obviously the internal amp isn't going to drive a big pair of cans like those available from AKG or Grado, but has anybody tried listening to it with a decent pair of in-ears, eg. Etymotics or some such? I'd be interested to read what you think...
Actually, I think vinyl dye would be a better choice... It's designed to adhere to plastics, so it won't come off on your fingers. Costs about 8 bucks a can, available at your local auto-parts store.
Doubtless this would be a fantastically huge scientific/engineering milestone, but the contest itself still gives me pause...
Am I the only one who is unnerved by the thought of an invention that strip-mines The Moon to make oxygen? Depending on the amount of soil required to produce a pound of oxygen, the impact on the surface of our biggest satellite could be quite dire.
Good grief.. I find it very difficult to believe that anyone would be willing to subject themselves to a scheme like this, just to play a DVD. (Not to mention the difficulty of implementing such a scheme for discs bought from, say, Amazon.) The RIAA (et al) seems to be doing everything in its power to speed the acceptance, adoption and spread of technologies like BitTorrent and other P2P/darknet protocols. The Law of Unintended Consequences strikes again!
...Is to choose a 'phyle with which to align myself! I've had some enticing offers from the Vickys, but to tell the truth I think I'll be happier with Cryptnet.
Now, what to do about those obdurate rednecks, the Fists of Righteous Harmony?
...and honestly, I haven't noticed a difference. That is, except that I think more clearly, I've wrapped up about ten books that I'd been meaning to finish, and I no longer know (or care) what those wacky bints on "Charmed" are up to.

Believing in something, without facts to support that belief, does not make it true. I believe I'm the King of San Francisco. Does that make it true?
The problem is that -every- belief is probabilistic. "Facts" about the world are just highly probable beliefs. Outside the realm of mathematics, proof is a fiction.
Gilbert is quoted as saying, ""I'm not going to share that information. It would be shooting a gift horse in the mouth."
He went on to say, "I can tell you that we've got positive engagement in critical areas. We're definitely going to grab this bull by the horns of the dilemma, and leverage our synergies with a focus on the future. It's a win-win situation."
For applications like eBooks, this looks great, but I think carbon nanotube looks like a better choice for televisions (single-layer, fast refresh, accurate color, etc).
'course, neither tech is going to be showing up at Best Buy anytime soon, so for now it's a moot point. ^_^
I applaud Mr. Ballmer's honesty regarding the next generation of consoles, and hope that this indicates a sea change in Microsoft's corporate culture. Although, I can't say I care for such vulgarities, coming from a CEO...
Geez, this is the ugliest hack I've seen in a very long time... Who's approving these articles?
Coming next week! I throw an X10 into my washing machine, and TURN IT ON! Thrill to the spectacle of a wireless camera getting beat to crap...
You have a favourite solver? The sheer, unadulterated nerdiness of that brings a tear to my eye... God bless us, everyone.

Maybe that's just me. ^_^

Gabe and Tycho over at Penny-Arcade had this to say about the production of Fantastic 4... Pretty darn funny.
But I think I speak for just about everyone on this site when I say that the granting of this patent to Creative was positively fucktarded.

Or, if you're reading the manga, "Fuchikoma." Just so you know. ^_^
I, for one, welcome our new Japanese moon-robot overlords!
I finally got all my bookmarks organized... Now I just have to find a big damn key-ring to put them on.

holy god, that movie was terrible. i'll thank you not to inflict us with such memories ever again.
Not only for the technical accomplishment, but for the sheer, "why?" factor...
Rock on, I guess. ^_^

What is this "sex" you speak of? Can you run linux on it?
What is this... "baseball" you speak of?

Will it run linux? ^_^

Makers of buggy-whips outraged at newfangled "horseless carriages."
