It'll be interesting to see what happens with Sprint in late 2011 early 2012 when the 2-year contracts expire for all of those Motorola Droid early adopters. It probably won't stop the death of unlimited data plans as they're too small compared to AT&T and Verizon.
Care to define unlimited? If you don't have a tethering plan you can download/upload to your heart's content. If you do have a tethering plan you're capped at 5 GB. However they'll throttle your bandwidth regardless of your plan.
Yeah this is exactly where I am too. 2.5 GB / month usage, the bulk of my data is Pandora (lower bitstream)/Amazon Cloud Player/Google Music beta at work on weekdays. I'll be hopping ship to Sprint when my contract is up in November, hopefully they won't axe unlimited plans too before then.
The thought the real problem was they did some shit they didn't want people to find out about and then buried it. Sounds like the solution to the problem is, don't be a douche.
My point is they make some really good single player games (Mass Effect, Dragon Age) that don't have a multiplayer mode. If I were them I'd be annoyed that a single player game will need to have multiplayer tacked on and with it the plot centered around a single character goes out the window and costs increase to keep the classes balanced for crybabies on their forums. They're already working on an MMO, no need to turn single player rpgs into MMO-lite games.
Yeah but a desktop stays pretty still all day. Only the keyboard and mouse get wear and tear and are easily replaced. I beat the shit out of my mobile phone so I'll probably need a new one every two years regardless of the upgrade cycle.
The guild leveling system is fun. You can level your guild to level 25, each level gives a perk (%5 more xp, 10% faster mounted speed, etc) The guild levels by members completing quests, dungeons, and battlegrounds. Everyone contributes a little.
Seach engines have really changed how we access information and learn about new topics. I'd say advances certainly are important to society as a whole. I wouldn't discount them as insignificant.
Just because you don't like achievements doesn't mean they're any less fun or challenging to others. Some were left wanting a little more when they completed the single player game. It is fun to play through the game again without using X unit or Y unit on Z level for a cool new portrait and the added challenge. The last level of the game is an absolute blast on brutal difficulty.

Two words: Life Insurance
Sort them by price descending on Newegg. But yes the 5970s seem to outperform the 6870s and (I haven't RTFA yet) 6970s.

If being a beautiful and unique snowflake is the only way you can have fun maybe a mainstream popular game isn't for you.
