Wow that seems like a bit of an overstated response for MRSA. I worked in a children's hospital for the past 2 years and it wouldn't be unusual for us to have 3 or 4 kids in a 13 bed unit that were on contact precautions for MRSA. But we would never notify people they had been in contact with or shut down a whole unit. And MRSA isn't really any more virulent than regular S. aureus which is part of the normal skin flora. Its just that when an infection does occur its harder to treat due to the antibiotic resistance.
So what's your solution then? Should Apple be forced to support every other DRM format out there? The fact is the ipod happily plays regular unprotected mp3's. That there are no (or very few) online outlets legally selling unprotected music is not the fault of Apple. Its the fault of the record companies. Although to be perfectly honest I can't really blame them for trying to protect their product. That's just what companies do.
Just out of curiosity what indirect costs would there be for a grad student. When I was a grad student (I graduated 2 years ago) I received no benefits including no health insurance. I did get free tuition although I had to pay all of my student fees (athletic, activity, technology etc...). When you figure that my stipend was only about 13 grand a year and I worked 7 days a week almost every week I think thats pretty cheap labor!
Heh that's funny. The second I read the GP's post I wondered how much FSU's mag lab pays in power bills and two posts later you gave me an answer. Of course I did my undergrad (smoked pot and drank a lot) at FSU.

There are thousands of WWII and Korea vets dying every year. Five people wouldn't be nearly enough to cover all the funerals. Not to mention that with a small number of bugel players you'd have to fly them all over the country so you'd have to factor in travel costs as well. It does kind of suck that they have to fake it but its better than a cd player.
Uh I'm not a lawyer but I'm pretty sure it was illegal to break into Pentagon computers in 2001 and anybody smart enough to do it was probably smart enough to know it was illegal.
My mistake. I guess he has heard it. But as the AC said, Behind the Laughter is not considered canon. And in the second airing of this episode Kentucky was changed to Southern Missouri.
As far as Lisa's comment, the writer's were obviously poking fun at the fact that you can't figure it out. There is a ton of evidence out there that rules out every state in the union as a possible home to Springfield. Not the least of which is that no state in the union has a capital named Capital City.
Uhh I don't think you have. Its pretty well established that the writers/creators of the Simpsons have left the exact location of Springfield a mystery.
Not only that but Disney's film studios aren't even the largest part of their business. The cable/broadcast networks as well as their resorts/theme parks are both bigger segments within Disney then the studios. In fact the only portion of their business that is smaller than the studios is the consumer products division. So saying the guys who run the animation studio run Disney as a whole is a bit of stretch.
While what you say may be true for a drug like asprin, drugs like Avastin and Herceptin are monoclonal antibodies and are much easier to produce using molecular biology/immunological techniques than trying to synthesize using organic chemistry.
Yeah we are blessed with lower gas prices in Georgia. When I first moved to Atlanta back in 1999 I specifically remember paying 75 cents per gallon at a QT in the suburbs. But its about 2.11 right now. I guess I should just be thankful I don't live in California.
Yeah I figured there might be a few incest jokes hurled my way. But hey, I have PhD in molecular biology now so I'm pretty secure. I can take it in stride. Besides, I moved from West Virginia to South Florida when I was 11. Seventeen years of hearing hillbilly jokes tends to thicken the skin!
I was born in West Virginia and it amazes me the number of people who don't even realize that it is in fact a seperate state from Virginia. And people think West Virginians are all dumb, inbred, hillbillies!
By neck and neck do you mean the quality of the machine or the sales figures. Because hasn't Sony shipped like 4 times as many PS2's as Microsoft has shipped Xboxes?
Every news outlet in the country was running those stories about looting and sexual assaults at the dome. I mostly watched CNN during the days after the storm and they must have shown footage of black looters about a thousand times. Why is FNC suddenly the "major pusher"? Don't get me wrong, I can't stand watching Fox news. Mostly because I think the people on there are a bunch of loud mouth assholes. But just because they're assholes doesn't make them racist and doesn't mean that they think black people are "sub-human". I think that's just you trying to demonize people who don't think exactly like you do.
This is bullshit. Fox News may not be "fair and balanced" but I challenge you to find one instance where a Fox news commentator compared a black person to a monkey. You won't be able to because had they done so the NAACP would have permanantly set up shop outside their front door.
Well both of those disorders are caused by the host's immune system. So a cure would likely have to involve destroying the immune system. Not something I'm going to be signing up for no matter how much my hands hurt.
The lighting thing has always annoyed me too. I'm amazed at how many times they'll have their investigators examining a crime scene with flashlights while they are in a house. It makes me want to scream, "Turn on the fucking lights you retards!"
Don't be such a sensitive fucking pussy. If you are so riddled with ADD that you can't just ignore a TV when it is on then go get your self some ritalin.
In a blackjack sense, no card counting doesn't work with poker. But it can be very advantagious to know what the odds of picking up a fifth heart on the river if you flopped a heart flush draw. Then comparing the odds of that with the ratio of the money in the pot to the money in your stack. All of that can be done by a person with some practice. But it would be much easier for an average player to win if he had a program doing all those calculations for him. Most pro poker players (and even good amateurs) make the majority of their money off of weak players. Programs like these would just level the playing field a little.
I'm much more concerned about the possibility of collusion between two or more players at an internet table. All this would require would be two computers, some phones, and willing participants. Knowing what cards your teammates have would be a HUGE advantage.

Jesus you've got a lot of time on your hands.

60% of the time, statistics works every time.

You do realize that comments like this make you sound just as idiotic as the redest of rednecks don't you?
I think I speak for everyone here when I say...Huh?

Just curious but is your bar in Athens?
