The more interesting part of the article is near the end on the 2nd page: Retro Review: Bionic Commando about a game that kind of reminds me of Turrican but older. I keep stacks of cd's next to my never-been-opened box of cd cases near my never-been-used cd rack. I give my cartridges and consoles away in a "borrow" sense, then never ask for them back. I obtain the ROMS if I feel like it and they're available. I stopped buying consoles playstation era. I do relate to his cord problems, but with the computer instead. If you need this guy's tips for acceptable solutions to a surplus of games then you're helpless. He had few and obvious tips. He goes on about how if you go through your games and throw out the bad ones this really reduces total. DUH. -_- I mean, c'mon? Most of us I'm sure just play it by ear and rarely stress about our "game storage problem". >_

But being a 21 year old, far enough off from Mr. Wrong's age to matter, but close enough to have a bit of logic under my belt....along with the fact I'm been working at an established tech firm for over 2 years now being employed at multitude of jobs previously right after a spat of university college... I think he IS wrong.

Games nearly have the same quality as movies now. Imagine when they will...

It's obvious games are going to reach FF: Spirits Within proportions soon. If not PS3 gen, then "PS4" gen. Perhaps the next if we're caught up in another war -_-

I think you might need to buy a few new games. Even patched-but-buggy games like Spellforce are fun because it has the most "atmospheric" graphics of an RTS game that I've seen to date along with all the nifty features I like.

I don't like THINKING of playing the games -- DON'T GET CAUGHT UP IN IT. It's easy to feel guilty playing games as an adult, especially with relationships. Games are one of the few things that can force me to "uh-huh" my significant other of 3+ years, reacting to her, but not really listening. Just be aware of how much you play and limit, splurging every now and then when the games and your STRESS level require.

I appreciate your story's contribution, but taking in consideration all of these factors I'm happy to report it's just that you're near the adam of eden gen for video games (YOU SAID you started on Pong as a kid) so, yes, you feel a bit more guilt from your older peers. Doesn't change the fact you're an ass monkey and gaming has tiers of popularity within the generations -- each one pushing the envelope in their new way.

    BTW, very funny article.

The whole beauty of online gaming is it's chaos. No blood, no foul. Just like life.

Besides, a game is meant to be competitive. Cheaters have to do just as much work programming those bots as it takes to get good at the game. Not to mention they're caught, and kicked, often making the point moot.

That doesn't solve Fong's unfortunate side effect, but it does make for some interesting online experiences.

It's actually not that devastating from SCO's perspective because there is no need for them to drive this home by doing the extra research on the extraneous versions of AIX. The reason being, if they have proof of the infringements (as they have claimed to, obviously) more than likely they'll have the code, too. The fact they have to provide the infringements by a certain date is the only really devastating part because it spells their certain doom. The end of this publicity when the courts adjourn is as a certain doom regardless of whether or not they lose.

There are several valid reasons for this. To catalog all of the custom driver interfaces that are needed when testing out the different types of hardware out there would be an immense undertaking. Another reason being Window's device interface is more than suitable to go by. Don't recode the wheel!
